Chapter 6:People do stupid things when their in love

PEARL'S P.O.V

I lay on my back wide awake. I hate dreaming. When ever I dream it's like some creepy thing. Oh my gods I just realized something... BABY CERTIFICATES ARE JUST RECEIPTS!!

I feel my eyes go heavy. Nope. Not gonna sleep. NOPENOPENOPE. My eyes slowly close. I pray to the gods that I have no dreams. But when have they ever helped me?

I stand near a edge of a... Cliff? Next to me is Percy talking but it all seems mute. I walk closer to the edge. What I'm I doing. I turn my head around to Percy to see that he has a worried face. I say something but everything is mute. Then I jump in. Where I jump it's all black. Getting blacker as I fall in.

My eyes snap open and I sit up quickly. Why couldn't demigods dream about puppies and unicorns and rainbows and such. I really prefer dreaming about lollipops than dreaming about getting stabbed. Oooh lollipops. I'm hungry. I wonder if I could get food this late from that th- I get interrupted with a huge bang and cursing. What the heck? I stand up and walk over to my door. I open the door and walk through the halls, with my curiosity pulling me. I notice a light coming from Leo's room. What was he doing up this late?

I walk to the door and knock on it. More banging and cursing. I knock louder on the door. He still doesn't answer. I get annoyed and knock louder. "Leo?" He doesn't answer. I open the door and a flying wrench go towards my face. I scream and duck. The wrench goes flying across the hall.

"LEO WHAT THE HECK I COULD HAVE DIED!" I scream, walking into the room. It's a mess! A bunch of tools and maps are on the floor. Leo runs around the grabbing stuff off the floor and getting more stuff out if his tool belt. (Random fact: it took me 20 mins to understand why he had a magical tool belt.)

Leo ignores me and does whatever the heck he's doing. "Oh hey Pearl." He says running by me. I blink.

"Leo how long have you've been awake?" I ask. He stops for a moment. "What time is it?" He asks.

"Um it's 3:00."

He counts on he's fingers. "I've only been awake for 3 days."

"THREE DAYS!! LEO YOU NEED SLEEP."

"Sleep is for the weak."

"You need sleep. What are making?"

"I don't need sleep I need to find her."

"Find who? What are you talking about?!"

"Oh and to answer your question I've been trying to find a map to that stupid island but I can't find any?"

"Leo I don't know what your talking about. I'm not that smart so in English please."

"Never mind" he mutters and continue working. I cross my arm and think about what he said. I smile wickedly. "A girl huh?" I wiggle my eyebrows. He looks at me "Oh your still here." He says.

I roll my eyes. "Glad to feel the love." I say sarcastically. I grin again. "So who's this 'girl'?" I quote with my fingers.

"Does it matter?" Leo asks, looking at some blue prints and writing stuff down rapidly.

"DUH! How does she look like? What's her name? How did you meet? Can I meet her?" I ask all at once.

"I don't want to talk about it." He mutters.

"Please?"

"No."

"Please."

"No."

"Please."

"No."

"Why not?" I pout.

"Because no."

"Well I'm not gonna leave till you tell me." I say sitting on his unmade bed. He rolls his eyes. "You are so stubborn sometimes." I smile. "I know. Now tell me."

"If I tell you will you leave?" He asks, defeated. I glare at him. "Yes."

He sighs and rubs his face with his hand. "Her name is Calypso..." He starts. Leo explains everything. From how he landed on the island all the way to the promise.

When he finishes I put my hand on his shoulder. He looks at me and smiles. "Stupid huh." He says. "Falling in love with a girl when you know you can't find her. Then making a promise that could sacrifice your life."

I shake my head. "People do stupid things when their in love." I say. He just looks at me. "And I'll help you find her."

"Like that will happen." He mutters. I smile and stand up.

"I will make it happen!" I shout dramatically. "For if my name is PEARL STEVENS THE DAUGHTER OF PO-"

I choke on air. Great way to ruin the moment Pearl! Leo bursts out laughing. I roll my eyes. "Can't even speak with out coughing huh Pearl?" He laughs. I giggle and sit back down next to him. I look at him and notice bags under his eyes. "You should get sleep." I order.

"I told you I don't need sleep." He adds. I cross my arms.

"Sleep now."

"But-"

"Butts are for pooping. Now sleep." He roll his eyes. "Fine" he mutters, Going under the covers. I pat his head. "Good boy." I say. I walk over to the light switch. "Your just like you mother sometimes." He observes. I pause for a moment. A lump starts to form in my throat but I push it down. "Goodnight Leo." I whisper, shutting off the lights.

I walk to my room but pause at the door. I really don't want to sleep. I step away from the door and go outside to see the stars.

*Screeches* CALEOOOOOOOOOOOO

Anyway... Is it weird that I teared up while writing.... Not the point. Lol. What was I writing?
