Axel POV

Fleur and I had been dating for a month now, our magical first date followed by many others.

Fleur always continued to surprise me. She stuck with me longer then anyone else had, except for my siblings, who were kind of forced to stick with me. Speaking of my siblings, they were going crazy about her. Not in that way, they just said they had never seen me happier. I opened my door a few times after talking with Fleur on the phone to have Monty stumble out, scratching his head and saying he was just passing by. I thought it was cute at first, but when I saw them watching us from across a diner where me and Fleur were eating, that's when I really got mad. When I told Fleur, she found it hilarious.

Fleur and I were supposed to meet after school today, she said she had a surprise for me. I honestly hated surprises, but I decided not to tell her that. After the last bell rang, I jogged out to the spot where she told me to meet her, wondering if I was gonna be early only to find out she was already there. Nearly jumping up and down with excitement and with a dopey smile on her face she threw her arms around me, causing me to jump. I wrapped mine snug around her waist, feeling a warmth i never knew existed.

Laughing, I said, "What's this all about?"

"I'm gonna tell my parents!"

"What? Really?"

"Yeah. I'm ready."

"Are you sure? I mean it's ok if we stay private for a little linger we can stay private as long as you wa-"

She put a finger on my lips, silencing me and making me blush. She took a step closer to me.

"I'm sure."

Suddenly, I closed the distance between us and crashed out lips together, making her sigh into my mouth. When we pulled apart, she was grinning, her eyes shining.

"Ok let's go." She squealed.

Then she was dragging me towards her car, babbling about how my siblings could just pick up mine. She drove me to her house, and pulled me up her front steps and through her door.

"Mom!" She called out.

Her mom came out from the kitchen, surprising me because I thought she was Fleur. She had the same long blonde hair, a few gray streaks in it, and extremely bright green eyes.

"Who's this?" She immediately said. Suddenly I got nervous. What if she didn't like me like Fleur thought she would? What if this went badly?

"This Axel. My boyfriend." She narrowed her eyes at me, making my heart slam against my chest. I realized I should probably say something.

"Um hel-hello ma'm."

We awkwardly shook hands, with me melting under her glare.

Fleur cleared her throat, finally making her mom stop staring me down and glare towards her. I suddenly felt super protective and slipped my arm around her waist, pulling her close.

"How long has this been going on?" Her mom asked.

"Not long." She answered. Good answer.

She turned towards me again, but this time her gaze softened.

"I hope you treat her well." She said simply, giving Fleur a warning look before smiling and returned to back to the kitchen. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. Then I turned to Fleur.

"I think she likes you." She said.

My eyebrows shot up. "Seriously?"

She laughed. "Yeah, of course."

I let out a shaking laugh before saying, "Your mom scares me."

She laughed again, and I called Tyler to tell him to pick up my car from the school. Then suddenly, Fleur blurted out, "Hey, we should celebrate!" Before i could I reply, she rushed into the kitchen to tell her mom something and then proceeded by dragging me back to her car and started driving.

"May I ask where we're going?"

"To dinner." She smirked.

"Where?" I asked.

"You'll see."

We ended up having dinner in a huge theater, she said it belonged to her dad, who had died when she was young. He passed it down to her, but it closed down years ago. She said she had never brought anyone here before, which of course made me blush. Was I really that special?

She took out a little picnic table and put it down on the huge stage. She went backstage for a moment and came out with armfuls of food and a bottle of champagne. We talked and laughed and ate the whole night, then at the end she played a slow song out of the speaker and we danced and danced until our knees felt weak.

At the end we collapsed back onto the blanket, giggling, and she said, "I really like you, you know."

"Yeah? Well I like you more." She giggled again.

I put my arms around her waist pulled her flush up against me, crashing our lips together. She immediately returned the kiss, weaving her fingers into my hair.

We didn't go to sleep that night.
