Axel POV

I plastered a fake smile on my face as I walked Jessica out of Elms, the collage I got accepted into a few weeks ago. She decided she was going to surprise me by coming by the collage tonight and celebrate my first day. I didn't want her to spend the night, so I made up an excuse saying I had early classes tomorrow. But she still ended up "falling asleep" on my lap when we were watching a movie, so I stayed up until I myself was falling asleep, then I woke her up to make her go home. Not the way I wanted to celebrate.

"Bye babe." She said leaning up to peck me on the lips, but last minute I leaned away and she hit my cheek. She frowned.

"Are you oka-"

"I'm fine okay? I've just had a long day, I need some rest."

She put her hands in the air like she was a victim and walked away, waving bye at me.

I sighed, rubbing my forehead frustratingly. I really needed to end it soon, but I felt so bad, she was so nice. How was I supposed to tell her that I just didn't like her, I never did.

I tried to ignore that for now, and just go inside and get some rest. I nearly made it back to the dorms when I passed someone that was standing around looking pretty helpless, and I guessed she was lost. She didn't notice me yet so I started to walk up to her to get her attention. I hesitated more as I walked closer, noticing how her hair looked familiar- long and bright blonde. I stopped when I got about three steps away, now seeing that everything about her looked familiar. Even her sweatpants were the same- the candy brand Nerds sweatpants that she got at the old store Benny's. There was only one person who I knew who wore those and had hair like that. I gasped and was about to walk up to her when she turned around and I was blinded by a set of grass green eyes.

Fleur.

In this collage. Right there. In front of me. It felt like someone had paralyzed me.

Fleur.

Right there. Do something.

Before my mind decided to start working, my feet were bringing me to her, inches away from her face, and I almost kissed her- I couldn't help it. She had barely changed at all since the last time I'd seen her, except for a few freckles that were thrown across her cheeks, if possible making her look even better. Then my rational mind kicked in, telling me that I had a girlfriend, that we were in the middle of Elms at three in the morning and that we haven't seen each since we broke up. A year ago.

She seemed to also know it was a bad thing and started stuttering incoherent sentences, then cleared her throat and looked up at me, her face flushing.

"Axel?" She said.

I paused, hearing her voice echo in my head. I replayed it again and again in my head, almost sighing at her voice. Then I looked at her and nodded slowly.

"Fleur."

She shook her head, still in disbelief. I couldn't blame her. Then she cleared her throat again and stepped away, looking at the floor.

"What are you doing here?"

I laughed a little. "I go here. I'm guessing you do too-"

She shook her head again, and before I could finish my sentence, she ran up to me and crashed our lips together, deciding that was all she needed to know. It felt like at that moment, an explosion of electricity erupted in between our lips. I closed my eyes and all I saw were fireworks behind closed eyelids. She wrapped her arms fiercely around my neck, hugging me extremely close. I sank into the kiss, wrapping my arms around her waist and pulling her as close as possible. We stayed there for what felt like hours, having the most amazing and passionate kiss I had ever had. I laughed against her lips and picked her up and spun her around in my arms. She giggled and we broke the kiss, just laughing and spinning at three in the morning in a collage.
