Have you ever been lied to? Have you ever wonder what happened? What had been hidden by lies that imprison both the truth and yourself? I felt this. Oh, I felt more than this. The truth was great but with what it brought dragged me down. Betrayal, anger, and confusion.
Sorry. You must be confused. My name is Marcus Woods. I am sixteen years old, I dont really like talking about myself much so Im not saying anything else about my current self. But I cant conceal it anymore. What is hidden in my head. The truth is to harmful to me to imprison it inside myself. This story started two years ago, I was fourteen and my mother died when I was three.
I was walking down a long dark path with my brother – Samuel – and my father. It was a dark night the tops of trees were hidden in the darkness of night. We were walking home. I was ignoring my brother and fathers conversation as they were arguing over something. "WE SHOULD TELL HIM" my father shouted while a whisper came from my brother. It sounded like "dont you dare". This brought me out of my thoughts. I turned and asked them "Tell who what?"
They both froze. Weird. My father looked down at my brother wearily almost looking for help – Ive never seen him like that. "whats wrong?" I questioned again. "nothing" was a quick reply from Samuel. But my father voice spoke over him "I cant hide it anymore Samuel. I will no longer cover for you. Marcus eleven years ago, the night your mother died" he froze for a moment. Closing his eyes as if reliving the memories "dont" my brother shouted but to no success. My father continued keeping his eyes sealed your "mother she didnt didie from a car crash she was murdered".
I was silent for a moment letting what had just been said to settle from the volcano of motions that erupted from my mind. "your lying!" the words flooded out my mouth like the unstoppable flow of lava from a volcano "it... its true"
As those words left his mouth and seemingly lingered in the air I turned and ran not daring to look back.
I felt anger, betrayal, hatred. How... how could they hide this? I ran and ran for hours. When suddenly I ran into something causing me to instantly lose my balance. I hit the ground unable to keep my eyes open as they slowly closed. The last thing I heard was a harsh and rough voice whisper "you will do nicely" before I blanked out.
