5 | IN WHICH BLUE ISN'T THAT BAD OF A COLOUR

Five - In Which Blue Isn't That Bad Of A Colour

Seraphina looked at Derek with a pained expression, "Go away Derek, I don't want to hurt you!" She growled at him trying to move away from the man.

Derek shook his head and kneeled down next to the girl, she only jumped up and moved away further, "Seraphina, I'm not in the mood for this. Now get your cute little butt in my car. Now." He said to the frightened girl. Seraphina looked up to Derek a little calmed down now that he was nearly holding her hand.

She nodded slowly and stood up to follow him to the car, as they were walking she saw Scott's date standing in the parking lot looking around. She stopped next to the girl.

"Would you like a ride Allison?" She asked, Derek stopped his tracks at glared at her, "Scott's like a little brother to me wouldn't want his date walking alone?" The girl grinned and walked to catch up to the shorter girl.

"Are you sure? Your boyfriend looks a little upset?" Derek went to correct Allison but Seraphina had already started talking again.

"He'll be fine. C'mon," she motioned with a wink, "I call shotgun." She sang walking passed Derek with Allison on her tail.

Derek rolled his eyes but couldn't help and smile at Seraphina's little attitude. He had becomed a little attached to the girl with glowing purple eyes.

After they had dropped Allison off Derek drove Seraphina home. Halfway back to the Stilinski household Seraphina started to breath heavily making Derek pull over.

"Seraphina? Hey-Hey, you have to breath," When that didn't help Derek grabbed her arms softly and moved her closer to him. "Sera, look into my eyes you see how they look green?" She nodded, feeling pricing pain start in her mouth.

Derek slid as close to her as he could with the center in the way, he flashed his glowing blue eyes, "H-How-?"

"You'll learn, but right now I need you to think of something that makes you happy." Derek said and he saw the girl clench her eyes tightly in concentration, he would've smiled if he wasn't so worried.

Seraphina sat, eyes closed, and biting her lip in concentration. Nothing. She thought of her fifth birthday when her dad got her a play gun and police cuffs, she broke the cuffs on accident when Stiles wouldn't unlock them. She thought of her brother, the sarcastic little pain in the ass that she loved dearly. She thought of her father, who was struggling to raise two children while being a sheriff. And she even thought of her dead mom, the woman that tought her manners and was the start to her kind heart.

But she found nothing. "I-I can't, Derek. Wh-Why isn't it working?" She almost yelled but cowered from the echo the car left.

Derek sighed and grabbed her cheeks so she would look to him. As he starred into glowing purple eyes he felt his chest swell and he leaned in to get a better look at the color. But at the same time, so did Seraphina.

They slowly leaned in until they were touching noses, "Derek," she breathed, "by the way," She lightly grimaced. "I like blue."

Derek smiled and shook his head. He placed a hand on the side of Seraphina's face and brushed a strand of hair back.

Though her face was contorted and hairy, her teeth were sharp and crooked, he still found her attractive.

Slowly he leaned forward and placed his lips against hers. Seraphina took a sharp inhale of breath but didn't pull away

Hesitantly Seraphina pressed her lips against Derek's. The warmth of his lips against hers and the thought of him made her happy.

So happy she felt the shark fangs slowly start to turn into her normal teeth. Her face felt less ichy and her whole aura seemed to change.

Derek smiled happily at this and deepened the kiss.

The kissed lasted until the two had to breath. When they pulled away Derek sent her a smug grin that made Seraphina reach a hand up to her lips, Derek did the same.

"I kinda like blue, too."
