Nine - In Which Sera Has A Date
Seraphina watched as Scott played lacrosse and tried her best to see interested, her father told her he wouldn't need her help that afternoon so she thought she would talk to Scott.
Talking to Scott meant waiting afterschool to watch practice and catch a ride home with her brother and Scott. Seraphina hated lacrosse, she was more of a basketball kinda girl, because all people did was get hurt.
"Go Jackson!" Lydia screamed next to her as she cheered on her boyfriend as he tried to run past Scott but was sent to the ground.
"Nice save Scott!" Seraphina awkwardly cheered Scott on, making the boy look at her with a cheeky smile.
"Dude, Stiles I think your sister is cheering me on." Scott said to his best friend with a small cocky grin, "I think this whole werewolf stuff is doing me one good!"
"What do you mean? Sera hates lacrosse, says it all about people getting hurt. And I think you should enjoy this whole 'werewolf' stuff, it is sweet!" Stiles said grinning at Scott.
"McCall! Back in the game! Stilinski! Keep… Keeping the benches warm!" Finstock said blowing his old whistle.
"Go Stiles!" Seraphina called sarcastically from the stands, causing some of the other players to snicker.
"Yep! That's me!" Stiles replied dryly and his friend chuckled at the two.
"So Scott, what's been up lately?" Seraphina asked sweetly from the front seat of her brother's car.
"Uhm, not much really, just lacrosse mostly." Scott answered back with an awkward laugh.
Stiles let out a curse and pulled into the nearest gas station, "Dammit, I didn't refill the car yesterday. Sera... You got some cash? " Stiles asked his sister sheepishly.
"Yeah, how much?" She said pulling out her purse.
"Five. No wait! Ten, I'm gonna get a bag of Swedish Fish." Stiles replied, rubbing his hands shakily.
She handed him a ten, "Scotty you want anything?" She asked as Stiles went to open the door. "A drink maybe?"
"No thanks I'm fine. "
When Stiles left Seraphina thought it was the perfect time for her plan.
"So Scotty, how have you been? You've gotten really good at lacrosse, what's up there? " Seraphina asked, turning her body to face him.
Scott looked at her with his mouth open for a minute, then when Seraphina leaned in closer he spoke. "I've been good, and I have been practicing lacrosse a lot so I think it's really hel—"
"Don't be like that Scotty, it's all been pure talent, and I know if it wasn't and you just happened to get supernatural abilities over night you would tell me. I'm proud of you Scott, and if we're being honest I find it pretty attractive." Seraphina said in a whisper and placed her hand on his knee.
"My- I- Thanks Sera, means a lot. " Scott could feel the guilt eating him alive and he felt bad for lying to the girl he's had a crush on since the sixth grade.
"You wanna go out this Friday?" Seraphina asked suddenly.
"Like as friends?" Scott asked slowly starring for a sign to see if she was joking.
"No, I mean a date. I'm starting to like you, Scott. I wanna see where with goes." She asked in a quiet voice.
