s e v e n - flutter
I'm surprised about how adjusted I got to Harry's presence.
He's there when I wake up in the morning, when I go to sleep, and when I usually do things around the house. It's like he's still there.
"Why don't you ever go out? I've been here for a few weeks, you just stay all coped up in the house."
I looked at Harry, shrugging.
He had since changed out of the damned robe, his outfit now being a plain black t-shirt and gray sweats.
"I don't think that's healthy. Why don't you go get coffee or something?"
Why don't I go out?
I mean, I like spending so much time with Harry, I forget there's a whole world out there...
"Can you even-"
Harry chuckled,"I'm your guardian angel, it's in my duty to follow you everywhere."
I nodded standing up. "I'm going to go get coffee."
OOOOOOO
Coming into Dunkin' Donuts, I sighed at how long the line was. Just for some coffee?
There was about six people infront of me, but there was only one person at the register and the other person on duty was working the coffee. I sighed, tapping my foot.
"Someone's impatient," Harry teased, standing off to the side.
I shot him a look.
He's lucky we're in public, or u would've been going at his ghostly throat.
The line moved up, slowly at that.
It was going to be another four years before I got to the front of this line. Someone was stepping out of line with their coffee, going for a lid. I tried to step out of their way, but it didn't work like that.
"Oh my goodness!" I screamed
The guy spill a bunch of hot coffee on me, the coffee shop went dead silent.
"I'm so sorry," a thick Irish accent said quickly and apologetically.
The blonde Irish man began to pay napkins on my legs, on his knees. "I'm really sorry about this." He started, "I honestly didn't mean to..."
He looked up at me, his blue eyes laced with worry.
"It's alright," I sighed.
He shook his head, and stood up. "Here," he said, his voice nervous,"please take my jacket."
He started to take off his leather jacket, revealing his muscular and toned arms. He handed me his jacket. "I couldn't do that.."
He shook his head once more, clenching masculine jaw. "I would feel terrible if you didn't."
I obliged and took his jacket, receiving a smile from him.
I had to admit, his smile was cute.
"How about I buy you a coffee, hm?" He offered.
I shrugged,"Sure, why not?"
Free coffee? I'd take that any day.
I went to go sit down while he ordered the coffee, an I looked towards the register, where he was standing. I watched him as he came back, holding a bunch of creams and sugars.
"Here's your free coffee..." He trailed off, waiting.
"Layla." I told him.
He smiled,"Here's your free coffee all on me!"
"Thank you," I softly smiled, pouring the cream into the coffee.
He sat down, looking at me.
I didn't notice he was wearing a chain, with a small four leaf clover on it.
"I'm Niall," he smiled, "Niall Horan."
I softly smiled back at Craig.
"I'm really sorry about spilling that coffee on you, Layla. I should've been watching where I'm going."
I nodded taking a sip of coffee. "It's alright, you bought me coffee in return."
He nodded.
Surprisingly, Niall and I hit it off.
I learned that Niall was a dentist and that it also pays him good money, but he still keeps a side job. Niall was pretty funny, and I found myself having a pretty good time.
"You can keep my jacket, I wouldn't want anyone to see those coffee stains."
I smiled, nodding. "Thanks."
"There's something else you can keep too," a grin poked at Niall's slightly chapped lips.
"What is it?" I asked.
"My number."
