The three of you had been close since highschool. It was an ironic situation. Rin loved him, he loved you and you loved him.
You could never hurt your best friend like that, could you?
Well.. You never wanted to. But things do happen and people do change.
You're human, you have wants and needs. And when someone taunts you with what you want, how else are you supposed to react?
// Three weeks after graduation. //
"I can't believe it," Rin sighed, her chin resting on her folded arms. "We're adults now." Len and (Y/N) nodded and let out sighs, too.
"To tell you the truth, I hated school but I didn't think it'd end this fast." Len added.
"I agree." (Y/N) chimed in. "It felt like it would last forever. And now it's over."
The three shared their favorite memories, embarrassing stories and such.
Rin and Len had been lovers since freshmen year. It almost killed (Y/N) when she found out they were in love. And now that they were already having a baby?
Could Len be so blind to her feelings?
When Rin revealed the pregnancy to her, she broke down on the inside. Having a child together is a big deal and it meant that he didn't love her. Didn't want a life with her. Rin knew of her feelings and was brutal with showing Len off to her. She had always been like that.
(Y/N) wanted to get Len alone. To properly tell him her feelings and wishes. Maybe he would listen and they could leave Rin behind.
Len sat down on (Y/N)'s sofa, smiling up at her.
"So, what did you want to talk about?"
"Well.. A lot, actually." Her voice drifted off.
"You can tell me anything, you know that." He reassured.
"Len.. You know, we've known each other for years.." She began, her anxeity growing by the word. "And there's something I want you to know."
Len smiled at her.
That smile.. Will be the death of me.
"You can tell me anything, (Y/N)."
"Len-" Her voice cracked making her cheeks flare. "Uhm, aha.. Len.."
She was blushing at the fact that she really thought she stood a chance.. She couldn't even say she loved him, let alone take him for herself.
And because her voice cracked.
"Len," Sitting up straight and looking him dead in the face, she whispered in a sweet voice, "I'm in love with you."
She was waiting for any sign of a reaction. Wide eyes, jaw slack, blinking.. But he said nothing.
"Do.. You love me too?" She asked in a hushed voice.
This is going terribly, I shouldn't of said it like that, what's wrong with me? Look at his face, god damn it..
"(Y-Y/N).." Len moved toward her and cupped her cheek. His hand was warm and she instantly leaned into it. Their lips met not even a second later.
Len's cell going off broke the short kiss.
He slid it out of his pocket and winced when he saw who it was..
Of course it was Rin, it was almost like she knew what was going on. She knew to ruin the kiss.
