I glanced towards my dimly lit screen on my phone. I stare at the address then back at the road, I could finally afford my own flat.

I find a parking space and put the car in park before stepping out of my vehicle, I glance up at the building then back down.

Yep this is the place. I thought.

I pop the truck and walk to the back, my footsteps heavy knowing that I'm all on my own now. I begin unloading, lifting and dropping. Sadly I don't have a lot of muscle so I struggled with some of the boxes.

I get the last box out of the trunk, spun around to set it down when I collide with someone. I could hear a thud, my head was pounding. I quickly forgot about me and realized I hit someone. "I-I'm so sorry, I should've watched where I was going-" The words fall from my mouth when the person starts to speak.

"No no no, it was my fault I shouldn't be looking at my phone" He speaks, his voice a slight polish accent mixed with British. I didn't bother to look up but started grabbing the contents from the spilled box, knowing that there were personal things in the box.

I spot his hands picking up things as well when he picked up the only photograph. I gasp softly and reach over but he already has it in his hands. "Is this your father?" He spoke, this time I glanced up and froze.

Slightly curly brown hair and chocolate brown eyes, filled with life.

Don't just sit there say something!

"Y-Yeah thats my father" I bit my lip, and chewed back from saying anything else. He smiled slightly, a dimple forms in his cheek. "You might want this back" He said and extended his arm towards me, I gently take the photograph out of his hands and slid it gently into the box.

"Dan" He spoke swiftly. I looked up at him, and smiled. "Y/n" I replied back, my voice soft and shaky. "Can I help out with your things?" Dan offered, I nodded "It would be amazing if you did"

Stopping in front of the flat, felt like I was traveling across the desert and I finally found water. I hastily unlock the front door, leading Dan inside and dropping some boxes near the couch.

"Right here right?" Dan asked hovering the boxes over the others, I nodded "Right there is good"

After we finished getting the boxes inside I plopped on the couch, I turned towards the slender man "Thanks for the help I'm not strong enough to carry them all" I chuckled nervously, he nodded "It wasn't a big deal" He smiled.

"I couldn't help but notice that we live near each other, maybe we can help each other out when we need it Neighbor?" Dan's cheeky awkward smile cause me to laugh "I would love that neighbor" He laughed and pushed his curly brown fringe out of his face, heading for the open door. I followed him to close the door, I leaned against the frame and watched him leave across the area. "Hey Dan?" I called out, he turned around quickly "Yes?" Dan asked looking hopeful "Thanks for the help" I could see him frown then smile "You're welcome"

He started walking again and I was about to close the door when he turned around "Y/n?" I looked at him, I felt nervous and hopeful for some reason. "Yeah?" I reply, "Could I get your number actually?" I nodded at his awkwardness, he walked over quickly, slipping his phone out of his pocket.

We traded phones and I put my number and a quick selfie for the contact before we traded back. "Thanks" Dan said looking at his phone and smiling at the hand held device. "You're welcome Neighbor"

We shared a laugh before I closed the door.

Time to unpack I though.
