Surprisingly, Coach Hedge had a soft spot for Percy and Annabeth's, Jason and Piper's, Frank and Hazel's, Leo and Calypso's children. Percy even caught the Satyr reading them stories in a soft voice, careful not to shout too loud. He even had nicknames for them, ranging from Mini Valdez to Water Boy Jr.
