Believe it or not, the perfect day for coming out may not even be coming out day. The near-perfect day for coming out is April Fools Day! You can come out, and then, if you come out and your family is unaccepting or you want to go back into the closet, just tell them it was a joke. Of course, there is no 100% perfect day to come out, but this day is pretty close. Always remember to come out when you're comfortable and have come out to yourself, don't be pressured by the day. Here's some ways to come out on April Fools Day:

1. Bake a Cake - For bakers only! You could bake a cake with layers as the colors of whatever pride flag you want. You could put frosting on the top saying "I'm [gender/sexuality] !" and give it to everyone. It's hard to turn someone down when they give you a cake, plus they'll be much happier and easy going while filled with cake. If they don't support you, just say, "April Fools! I'm not [gender/sexuality] and this cake isn't for you." Then you could go back to your room and cry while eating cake...

2. Leave a Note - This way of coming out isn't assigned to one specific day, you could do this any day. Say you're leaving the house for the day or for the night to go somewhere or sleep over someone's house. You could leave a note explaining that you're whatever gender/sexuality you are, leave some faq, and leave it there for them to read. This way, you won't need to tell them face-to-face, and they'll have time to process it in their heads before you get home.

3. Queer Jokes/Lines - Most people love a clever joke or line, it's a great way to come out. Just use one of these to come out.

"Let's get one thing straight, I'm not."

"*pointing to self* Bi! Also, *waving*
bye!"

"*eating something rainbow* I'm doing this out of queer boredom."

"*Someone's in your way* Move, I'm gay."

"*Looking at the clothes in the [birth gender] section* Whew, I'm glad I'm not [birth gender]."

"*Jumps out of closet* I'm queer and I'm here."

"*Walks in door* I'm queer and I'm here."
