THE ZODIAC BATTLE

#CHAPTER 2

"Leader leo is here!!" Cancer said out. Her words gave courage to the rest of the warriors who were almost wornout. Sagittarius was helping in firing canons. Scorpio and Aquarius looked the most exhausted. Aries came gasping for breaths with a tall blonde guy whose eyes were the proof that he was THE LEADER LEO. His eyes were like that of a lion, golden irish glittering everytime he gives a sharp look. His muscles proved that he was strong. He looked around glancing at every combrade of his.
"Scorpio...take a break." He said in his deep raspy voice. Scorpio gave him a salute then fell on the ground taking in all the oxygen he couldn't intake untill now.
"Me?" Aquarius mumbled glancing at Leo. Leo shot her a glare. She immediately looked away, his glares gave her chills.
"Thats ok.. i don't need a BREAK😑" she said hiding the fact that she was annoyed and tired. Leo smiled then glanced at cancer.
"Ok then..i am starting..cancer give me updates on what is going on the back gate." Leo ordered. Cancer nodded then began to concentrate on reading the minds of her combrades on the back gate.Leo stood at the edge of the wall. The intruders were already near the land. This was the first time that they were able to come this close. He took a deep breath then looked at the large cannon kept at the corner of the wall whose mouth was pointed towards the ocean. The largest cannon in the century. The cannon which needed the strength of thousand men to fire. The cannon which can only be moved by the leader. Leo stretched his hands. The veins in his arms were visible now. He walked towards the cannon .
Aquarius got down from the edge. Everyone dunked their heads covering their ears . Leo stood infront of the cannon bullets which were round in shape,largs,huge,heavy and not any normal bullet. He grabbed the bullet and picked it up with his gloved hands the put them inside the cannon. He pointed the cannon towards his desired target then "BAM!"
All the warriors could hear were the sounds of ships getting wrecked and screams. They maintained their safety position as they knew Leo's shooting wasn't over.

"Why aren't they here yet?!" Virgo shouted in frustation. Taurus and pisces were already panting and gasping untill they heard a huge explosion. They smiled as they knew what was it. And they were relieved.
"Lets hold on a bit longer." Taurus slapped the back of pisces then again freezed the time at the region of the ocean but he was freezed too. It was his weakness. The archers were shooting, cannons were fired.
"Back off!!" They heard a voice from the back. Libra came forward being followed by gemini. Virgo gave a sigh of relief as she saw libra.
"What in hell took you guys so long?!" Virgo groaned as she backed off along with the others.
Libra came to the front and gestured gemini, he stood behind libra and placed his palms against her shoulders.
"Its ok.. i got your back." Gemini whispered. Libra nodded then raised her palms in the air then pushed them towards the ocean. The water was shaking, the waves were getting bigger making the fleet ships collide with each other as if they were destroying themselves. Then the water level rose, the higher she raised her hands the higher the level of the water became. She was continuously pushed back but gemini was holding her tight to prevent her from falling back. The water came down in a large wave washing away the fleets. Within a moment there were only pieces of ship wrecks floating in the water. Libra fell on her knees gasping, taking deep breaths. Her hands and legs were shaking. It was the after effect of using her power. Her powers were too much for her body for which she wasn't allowed to use her power for a long time.Taurus and Pisces fell on the ground too.

Leo wiped his face with a towel . He realized that Sagittarius was staring at him and he knew why.
"Its fine sagi.. practice more...next time you can do it." Leo patted Sagittarius's shoulder and sat.
" Libra finished it well Leader leo... They are heading back to the zodiac quarters." Cancer reported. Leo nodded then got up and began to walk away.
"He says to follow right?" Scorpio asked cancer pushing her shoulder slightly. Cancer glared at him then followed leo. Sagittarius came then wrapped his arm around scorpio's neck.
" Yes!" Sagittarius chuckled.
"Lets go home Aquarius!" Scorpio wrapped his arms around her shoulder. She shoved him away then kicked his leg. He groaned in pain.
"Hey!!.. why would you do that!?" Scorpio complained.
"You reek of sweat,idiot!" Aquarius said then walked away.
"Of course i do.. after all the hard work i have done." Scorpio chuckled.
"Oh please.. you smell like a dead rat." Sagittarius got away from him and began to walk away while Scorpio followed them demanding that he didn't smelled like a dead rat.

Gemini helped libra to stand up.
" You can just sit for sometime." Virgo said walking towards her then held her. Pisces went to the soldiers to give them orders to retreat.
"Lets go home.. we have to take on patrolling duty if we go after leader leo..uhhhh... I want to sleep and never wake up." Taurus frowned.
"Thats why i hate using my powers." Libra mumbled. She wrapped her arms around gemini's back and gemini did the same as he helped her walk.
"Thats why i ask you to exercise more..first you don't listen to us then you whine!" Pisces hit the back of her head. She whined again.
They went to the zodiac quarters and stood in front of the gate.
"Ssuupp Ronin?" Libra waved at the middle aged man with silver strands of hair who happens to be the gaurd.
"Hey sweetie." Ronin waved back giving her back the same bright smile she gave him. He eyed gemini holding up libra carefully as if she was some porcelain doll. He smiled at gemini then glanced at others.
"You all look dead tired!" Ronin giggled. Pisces came forward and held up his ID in front of the ID detector.
"Because someone doesn't exercise and comes late." Pisces teased. Taurus slapped pisces's back then gave a huge laugh.
"Our lazy libra hates to exercise." Taurus added. Libra twitched. Virgo and gemini laughed out together.
"Always stay like this, kids." Ronin laughed.
"We are not kids anymore." Virgo objected.
"You are gonna treat us like kids even when we will be in our 50s right?" Gemini asked. Ronin laughed.
"Been seeing you kids since you were kids who used to run around the quarters, asking for candies to anyone you see, you cute little brats." Ronin said.
"I love you Ronin." Libra said out.
" We love you." Virgo added.
"Are they already here?" Pisces asked. Ronin nodded gesturing yes.
"Shit man!" Gemini frowned. They went inside .
They went directly to the hallroom where they were ordered to gather for receiving orders. As the late team went inside they saw the others scattered around lying down like half dead people. Aquarius was leaning against Capricorn's shoulder holding hands. Cancer ran towards libra and virgo.
"Are you fine?" She asked libra. Libra nodded. Sagittarius and Scorpio were drinking tea. Her eyes went to pisces walking towards Aries, aries stood up and wrapped her arms around pisces's neck then she kissed his cheek. He smiled locking his head with hers.
"You look tired babe." Pisces said brushing his thumb against her cheek.  Libra's eyes fell on Leo wiping his gun. Her heart fluttered at his sight. Cancer chuckled as she was able to read her Friend's thoughts. Leo glanced up and caught libra staring at him. Libra looked away. Leo stood up.
"Late..but you won't get patrolling duty.. the soldiers will patrol the night today.. so rest and get ready for tomorrow.. good job friends.." leo eyed everyone but then his eyes fell on gemini grabbing onto libra. He looked away.
" From tomorrow libra will take special training from chief Jenelia..cancer stay at the quarters and train the soldiers as well as keep an eye on libra... Gemini, Scorpio and Sagittarius will go to the central bureau.. virgo and taurus on inspection duty, Aries and Capricorn on the front gate and pisces and Aquarius on the back gate.. i have to train the soldiers.. good work..patrol well.. you are dismissed." Leo ordered then got out. Libra released herself from gemini and ran outside to follow Leo while gemini stared at libra going away. Scorpio spilled tea on himself in the mean time. Cancer shot him a glance.
"Eww.. i mean.. can't you even drink properly?" Cancer twitched her mouth as she was walking out.
"Can't you even talk properly ?" Scorpio said back. Cancer turned then smirked.
"S.H.U.T U.P ☺" Cancer smiled. Scorpio smirked.
"Gosh why is she soo annoying?" Scorpio mumbled.
"Why?.. cuz she's the only person whose mind you can't control.. well its fair cuz you are the only person whose mind she can't read.." Sagittarius laughed.
" Thats because i m the mind controller.. I can control my own thoughts too..huh..." Scorpio said then walked away.
"They are cute.. aren't they?" Aries smiled. Sagittarius nodded.
Taurus walked to virgo and entwined his fingers with hers. She glanced up at him.
"What?" She asked.
" Meet me before going to bed..at the usual place." He said. She released her hand then grinned.
" Whatever." She went away. Taurus followed her. Virgo was red at his touch but still played hard to get .
As leo walked along the quite path covered with trees. He heard footsteps running towards him. He gave a smile then turned. He saw the one he was expecting to see. Libra was panting starting into his eyes. He could feel his blood boiling up seeing her.
"Um.. actually..i wanna say something to you leader.." libra said looking into his golden eyes which were glittering watching her. He gasped.
" Go on." Leo said.
