Chapter 74: Confusing target

 When the clock striked 1:23 am, Papyrus entered the basement. He looked through the darkness for you and Asriel. He checked under a table but he didn't find anything, he also searched inside a wardrobe that was in the corner of the room. From that corner, Papyrus could see a bunch of boxes. You, watching from behind the boxes, prayed for him to not to approach but it was in vain, he was already walking to you. He kicked the boxes and..there was nobody... Papyrus put the boxes in their place and with no idea where to search, walked straight to the basement's door. You and Asriel were on the roof. As soon as you heard that Papyrus was walking away, you and Asriel went back to the ground, put the boxes in the place they were before and hid there again. You and Asriel sighed in relief, but a few seconds later, Sans peeked inside the basement. Asriel and you hid even deeper in your spot until Sans went away. He left the door ajar. At the moment you noticed that you felt completely unsafe, while Asriel was completely normal. You, very impressed, asked Asriel why he was so calmed. He responded - I'm not afraid of this losers...- and you whispered - What do you mean?...- and Asriel replied - I'm way stronger than they...the only reason I'm hiding here is that I don't wanna do something illegal...- and you asked once again - Something illegal?...- and Asriel said - I don't wanna kill them...- and then you stared at him.

 Meanwhile you were having a lot of headaches in your basement. Sans, Papyrus and Toriel were becoming insane, they searched in everyplace in your house and didn't find you. They started to scratch their heads as they heard the cops capturing the vandals responsible of the shots. They walked around your living room several times until Sans, accidentally, hit the basement's door and opened it. For your bad luck, you had decided to close the door that was ajar. As soon as Sans saw you, he tackled you. - There u are!!!...- Sans said quite happy, but before he could say another word, Asriel kicked Sans away and grabbed you. He tried to run away but Papyrus and Toriel closed the door. You and Asriel went to the bottom of the room, you were cornered. Suddenly when Sans, Papyrus and Toriel were slowly approaching to you, someone knocked on the door. - OPEN THE DOOR!!!...- a voice said from outside. You reached the conclusion that they were the cops. Toriel, quite worried and nervous, pushed Sans and Papyrus away and proceeded to shot a fireball. At first the fireball headed to Asriel but then it started to change its course. The fireball was going directly to your chest but before it could reach its goal, Asriel opposed its trajectory and received it in the stomach, then he fell on his knees. As soon as he fell, Sans grabbed a few boxes and put them in front of the window, that was very high. Once he climbed the boxes, he opened the window and then, along with Toriel and Papyrus, escaped.
