...Almost as if on cue, my phone buzzed with a message. It read "Hey I just met you, and this is crazy... but here's my number, so text me maybe- Louis Tomlinson :)." I immediately laughed out loud.
"What? OMG DID LOUIS TEXT YOU," Paige screamed as she grabbed my phone. "OH MY GOD THAT'S SO CUTE!"
"Yea, sure, Paige, go ahead and take my phone," I joked sarcastically.
"Oh. My. Gosh. I cannot believe he texted you!"
"I know. It's totally surreal. But... what am I supposed to say back?"
"Just say... well, I don't know. We have to come up with something cute."
"Um... how about 'It's hard to look right at you baby, but you have my number, so keep texting maybe?'"
"AAHH! That's so cute," Paige screamed again.
"I am TOTALLY freaking out right now," I said softly as I sent the message.
My phone buzzed and I jumped. The message said "Girl that dress is so scandalous, and you know... oh, well, never mind :)"
"He just texted me lyrics from The Thong Song. He's so funny," I said to Paige.
"I know! That's why they say he's the funny one in the band!"
"Okay... I've got to match him with something else funny. How about, hmm... 'I felt like I was on a space ship, and, uh, I don't really know what to do with my hands.'"
"Ha that's funny! I love Talladega Nights," Paige said back.
This back and forth between Louis and me went on for a while. His texts were cute and funny, of course, and I kept trying to match him with just as funny jokes. However, the shock of my life came after I texted him a bad pun. He said, 'Hey, idk if you're in Louisville for much longer, but would you let me cook you dinner tonight?' I obviously said yes to that request, by the way. Paige freaked out and told me that I had to look the best I ever had that night, and so we went back to the hotel for me to change and get ready. I was so nervous but excited for what was in store.
