... "No way. Paige-"

"Come with me, ma'dam. Is this the little lady you'd like to take on stage?" said the giant bodyguard.

"Yes, uh-of course!" I sputtered back.

We were taken up a huge flight of stairs. Honestly, that was the most nerve wracking part for me because I am in NO way coordinated. But I made it up okay, and, when I made it onto the stage, I was greeted by five adorable smiling faces. Paige was beyond smitten with Niall and didn't really care about anything else. I wasn't really even sure who to look at. I was still in complete shock.

"Hello, love. Don't be nervous," cooed Louis in an adorable British accent.

"Yeah. We don't bite," joked Harry. He was then met with roaring laughter by the audience. I rolled my eyes. That joke was stupid, but still adorable. Sigh.

The rest of my time on stage is a total, complete, overwhelming blur. All I remember are lights. Lots of lights. From cameras, from the spots on the boys, reflecting off of their eyes. I think there was some singing involved. I'm really not sure.

After we were done, we were led backstage and each given a slip of paper.

"These are your passes to meet the boys," said the stern bodyguard.

"Uh, okay," I replied.

"KATIE, OH MY GOD! I JUST MET NIALL HORAN! MY LIFE IS NOW COMPLETE," screamed Paige at the loudest pitch imaginable.

My brain was still a bit boggled from the prior events. Did that really just happen? It honestly did not seem real. Well, I'm holding a slip of paper in my hands and Paige is screaming. That sounds like reality, I thought with a laugh. I looked at the writing -"Backstage Passes with the Members of One Direction: Void Where Prohibited." That last part made me laugh. Why would they give someone a backstage pass if it was prohibited? Well, whatever.

It seemed only seconds after that the boys came running off stage. They grabbed water bottles, towels, and were rushed out of the backstage area by three giant security personnel wearing sunglasses and what looked like bullet proof vests. Man, these fans must be nuts. After that, Paige was insistent that we figure out where the boys were so we could hang out with them and put to use the coveted backstage passes. We were lost for about fifteen minutes until we were guided by a nice, middle-aged woman with light smile lines and wire-rimmed glasses. We turned the corner, and I had to rub my eyes a few times. We were standing outside of the One Direction green room.
