The Grand Masquerade

Chapter 3

Cameron says "What the hell was that?"
Hailey responds with "Oh god not children, I hate children."
The teacher starts explaining "For your next challenge, you will vote and I will shuffle as per usual. Two will be selected from the top and go to enter a giant baby's bedroom, you must find three clues, figure them out, and then give all three items to one of the guards, the guard at the door will lead you back to the classroom. The one who loses will be used as the baby's rattle. Neither one of you can be spotted by the baby or you'll automatically be used as a rattle. Everybody now cast your vote." Everybody selects. The teacher shuffles the deck and pulls the renegade and the fixer. The room goes black and you hear two screams, the lights go on and they're both gone.

"Welcome to the nursery, as you can see everything here is owned by a baby, but the baby is the size of a fully grown man. Here is your first clue." says one of the hot muscular guards. The clue states: 'The first item you will find is under a glowing star that is below you, but at the same time above.' Hailey caught on immediately, there is a star hanging from the ceiling and a star on a baby rattle, she picks up the rattle and pops the star off. She finds the next clue along with a holographic pacifier. The next clue states; 'Your next item is between the masked lovers, the item is practically levitating but you don't know it.' The right wall is filled with masks but only two are across from each other in the corner, in the middle was a rocking chair with a zipper on it. Under the zipper is a rocking chair filled with baby food that you have to dig through. Katelyn has caught up by this point and Hailey wasn't going to let her, so she stuck her hand in the warm mushy baby food, but then the baby was coming so they had to hide. When the baby was gone she sticks her arm back in and pulls out a plastic bag that is fogged up and held a vintage baby rattle, in it along with the final clue. Katelyn is having a hard time finding her plastic bag in the mush, and she is practically diving in. The final clue states; 'The final item is in the crib. It's musically pleasing but at the same time can be quieter than a mouse.' Katelyn caught up once again. They both run over to the crib and it doesn't take them very long to figure out it's the mobile so they start running at the same time towards the guards but since Hailey had practice running from summer school she got there first. The other guard slashes Katelyn across the neck with a butcher knife and brings her to the baby's toys. In return for the three items Hailey had collected she is given back a yellow feather. She is brought back to the classroom and there really weren't any questions of what happened by this point. Hailey put the feather into the next slot and says "Well, what's next?"
