The Grand Masquerade

Chapter 9

It is a few hours later, and everyone is woken up from a nap they don't remember taking, the teacher is nowhere to be seen. They are at which seems like a corn maze. A girl and two dogs start walking towards them, except it wasn't a girl; it was like a ghost.
She starts talking "Welcome to the corn ma-..." Everyone screams and runs towards each other. She gets an annoyed look on her face and starts speaking aggressively "Like I was saying; welcome to the corn maze. My name is Liv and these are my puppies; Ruby and Moby. I've already chosen who is going to go through the maze. The journalist and the renegade. You two will race to the end, and you will be guided by my puppies. At the end is your homes. Will the renegade and the journalist please step forward? You will start on my pop gun. Take you mark." *POP*

Josh and Hailey bolt behind the dogs, the maze didn't seem that hard other than running through mud, and jumping over haystacks. They are almost at the end, and they can actually see the exit when Josh and Hailey are neck and neck beside each other. Krystal and Julie are cheering both of them on as loud as they can and then right before the finish line; Josh trips and falls. Hailey wins, therefore Liv whistles and the two hot guys come pick up Josh and carry him away. No one knows where he is going, all they know is that he is taken away.

Krystal, Julie, and Hailey climb into a van where they were taken back to their right homes. For the next week everyone goes to school, went to their extracurriculars, etc. But everyone still has a pit in their stomach from the nine close friends who had passed in the messed up challenges. Heck, they even miss the teacher who had guided them through the challenges. Now this is the end.... Until next time?
