Ok I think Im just going to stop saying anything unless its important haha

Clary POV

I hit the concrete ground with a hard thud. I had never portalled before. I looked around to see huge buildings. I could tell from the scenery I was in LA. It looked exactly like the books I had read. I was not soaking wet, I was actually dry which was a pleasant surprise. I straightened out my skin tight gear and looked up to the sky. I had left early in the morning back in Idris but it was midnight here. I looked to my right and saw giant gates that belonged to the Institute. It was giant and a thousand times bigger than the institute I lived in. I confidently made my way towards the gates eager to meet everybody.

I knocked on the door. I remembered my Identity:

Clary Fray (False)

16 (True)

My hair was black with very dark red laced through it. I know longer looked like the pathetic little sister that Jonathan had to take care of. I was now Clarissa Morgenstern daughter of Valentine and Jocelyn. Sister to a demon. I was confident and ready to undergo my mission.

The door opened revealing one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen. She looked bored but as soon as she saw me her eyes grew wide.

"Woah you're hot" She said

"I'm straight" I joked and the both of us laughed

"You must be Clary Fray. Its really nice to meet you, I'm Isabelle you can call me Izzy. We were told that you would arrive tonight. Please come in" She said brightly

I walked inside and saw the inside. It looked even bigger. The place seemed so beautiful and elegant with a giant chandelier above my head. It was old styled but it seemed so modern. I was surprised to not see that much people though.

"It's good to have another girl around. The place is very empty just me my brother Alec and Jace" she said "They should be back soon though so you should meet them during dinner. Come let me show you where your room is" She said

She led me through corridors and finally she showed me my room. It look like an ordinary room but I enjoyed the new scenery. I looked out my window to see the huge skyline.

"Wow" I gasped

"Sorry for the crappy view but this was the room mother and father said to put you in" She apologised.

"No no its fine, I love it"I reassured her

"Alright I will give you some time to settle in. I will be down stairs if you need anything" She said and closed the door.

I decided to freshen up. I washed my face and fixed my hair and brushed my teeth. I than sat down and looked out at the view. I had finally made it. I would rather spend this time feeling bad for leaving Jonathan behind not feeling bad for not feeling bad about leaving him. I feel so free and that reassured me that I made the right decision. I felt my necklace pulse realising that my brother was more than furious. Jonathan and I shared a necklace that held part of each other. We did not know much about the necklace but we knew we should never take it off. It kept us together. And as much as I hated him I couldn't come to completely break our bond. Through the necklace we could feel each other's emotions, sometimes hear each other's thoughts but most importantly we could draw strength from each other something I needed often. The necklace was simply gold. Mine held a white crystal and his a black. Both of them carved into the same shape. A sun. The morning star. Our families symbol.

I decided to finally join Isabelle down stairs. As I walked down the stairs I could see a man attacking her in front of the door that was left open allowing me to see the dark storming weather outside. The man had forced her to the ground and was on top of her. I could hear her scream in frustration and try to reach for her weapon. Quickly I sprang into action kicking him in his ribs and throwing him to the other side of the room. Whiel quickly rushing over to him and holding him by the neck against the wall

"What the hell" He groaned

"Really Jace" Isabelle questioned annoyed

I held him and studied his features. He was to busy glaring at Isabelle to notice me staring. His hair was golden and matched his eyes. I could get lost in them. I couldn't bring myself to look away. I remembered Jonathan with his sharp features and strong build, white hair and black eyes that had the power to control you and drive you crazy if you look to close for to long. But he had soft features. He wasn't as muscly as Jonathan but I liked it, he was more lean and had soft features. His broad shoulders and eyes that seemed gentle but deadly.

"Isabelle" He moaned out like a child and began struggling in my hold.

Another man walked through the door that I assumed was Alec. He looked like Isabelle if she were a man. Which doesn't sound weird.

"Really Jace" Alec said almost in the exact annoyed tone as Isabelle

"Why is everyone saying that!" He yelled annoyed resulting in everyone to laugh and me trying desperately to hold back and simply hiding it behind a devious smirk.

"It's ok Clary that is Jace. This is my brother Alec. Guys this is Clary she is staying with us for a while" she stated as if nothing had happened.

"Oh" I said and completely let go of Jace which caused him to fall to the ground with a loud thud.

I held out my hand and he looked up at me with an annoyed expression.

"Clary Fray nice to meet you"

He soon replaced his annoyed expression with a smirk.

"Jace Wayland it's a pleasure for you to make my acquaintance" He said with a cocky tone.

"It sure is" I mumbled and walked towards Isabelle

"So what you're saying is you came back for back up instead of calling for back up" She said astounded and annoyed.

"They said that they had ties to finding Valentine" Jace argued back

"Valentine is dead" Alec said with a stern voice.

I hid my surprise to hear that they thought my father was dead. I knew what my father had done and I knew what people thought of him. I also knew exactly how stupid they were to believe it. My father was a hero who tried to take down the Clave that did nothing but discriminate and trick everyone. The sooner I found my mother, the sooner we could get the mortal cup and cleanse the world.

I almost laughed at how well he had fooled the entire world. 'Dead'

"I don't think so" Jace said and I was suddenly interrupted from my thoughts.

"Jace everyone knows that he is dead" Isabelle said earning an approving nod by Alec.

"Well Clary what do you think?" Jace turned to me hope burning bright in his eyes urging me to agree with him.

I took a step with every word I said glaring at him upset that he had brought me into the discussion of my father's well being.

"Dead. Dead. Dead" I growled my face inches away from his.

I could see not a flicker of fear but interest and surprise in his eyes. He was intrigued by me.

"I guess we will see" He whispered and leaned into me. I only smirked and backed away.

I think I like this one.

"Whether he is alive or not is not our concern. There are demons destroying the club and terrorizing people we need to go down now. Including you" He pointed at me sternly. "You don't get a free pass" Alec I think his name was began to walk towards the weapon room.

I followed him like everyone else and we geared up. I drew on my runes and grabbed my weapons. I looked around to see that everyone else had also finished gearing up.

"Lets go" Alec said taking the lead and running back to where they were.

We were about to fight. This was going to be fun.
