Secret Silence PART 8

Maxie’s POV:

Once Dale left for work, we got ready for school. Jenny was already ready, Ally was taking her time in the shower and I was just eating my breakfast. It was only Jenny and I sit in the kitchen. Jenny was reading the newspaper from last week and just sat there watching her, she seemed very interested.

“What are you reading; you really seem interested in it.” I said with a mouth full of Puff Puff’s.  

Jenny lifted out a dress magazine hidden within the newspaper.

“Oh, I thought you were reading the newspaper.”

“Nah, I hate the newspaper there nothing that interest me, I am looking for a dress for graduation this year. I hope I will become queen again.” She smiled, still looking at the dresses.

I took the Magazine from her and looked. The prices were in the thousands.

“These dresses are expensive, how you gonna afford them.”

“My daddy will get it for me. He’s also hired a limousine for me and whoever I gonna take with me”

‘Please pick me, please pick me’ I thought to myself.

“I’m wearing a tuxedo, to my Gradation.” I quickly said.

“Really, why, won’t you wear a dress?”

“I hate dresses”

“Whatever makes you comfortable?”

I took another mouth full of Puff Puff’s and tip the milk in the sink.  I left Jenny in the kitchen and went to Ally bedroom. I got my school bag ready and finished my hair and decide to put it up today. I shoved it up and went back downstairs to the kitchen. Ally was down there talking about gradation.

“It’s still 10 weeks away, you’re not planning it already are you. We all have to pass year 12 first. I came through the middle of team 2. I have been to school for two days.” Ally complained.

Jenny just shrugs her shoulders and continues looking.

“Well, I’m ready for school, ” I said, giving a hint to Ally telling her to hurry up.

“I just need to do my hair and make-up and I will be right down” Ally said while running up stairs.

I took a seat next to Jenny and looked over her.

“Hey, I think we should talk about us?”

Jenny puts her magazine down and turned to face me.

“What about us?”

“Well, are we going to try this date thing or just be friends, because if you don’t just tell me I don’t want to be fucking around.”

“What do you want?” Jenny asked.

“I thought when two people like each other they may start dating.”

“I love you Maxie and I have for a long time.”

“So...”

“Plain and simple” Jenny looked back at her magazine and turned the page. She then turned back to me. She stood up and then grabs my hands.

“Maxie Shoe, will you be my girlfriend?”

“Yes, I would love to be your girlfriend.”

She leans forward for a kiss and I went to kiss her, but Ally walked in and stops us in our tracks.

“Ready” Ally grabs her bag and walk out the door.

“COMING” Ally yelled.

Jenny grabbed her car keys and started to walk. I grab my bag that was near my feet and Jenny stopped and turned around and lifted my chin up and kissed me. She left as she grabbed her bag on the way out. I followed with a very big grin on my face.
