"So, umm, how are things going with Ari?" I say. "Psh terrible. In fact, we broke up last night," Clay says like it is nothing. "Oh uhh," I try to come up with something to say. "I know what you are trying to say Aiki, you like me. And guess what? It's ok. Because-," He stops. "Because what?" I say. He looks at me. "Uhh. I'll show you."I panick. He leans in. He kisses me. "What was that for?" I ask. ************

We both stare at eachother very confused. He looks away, "I'm— I'm sorry, Aiki." I sit there very awkwardly, "Wait, for what?" He glances at me in regret, "I just— Do you like me Aiki?" My head is going in six different places. Do I like him? What if I don't like him? What if he is a jerk? Ughhhh. "Clay, I do like you. I've had a crush on you ever since my eyes first landed on you. But let's be honest here— Do you like me or do you just like the idea of me?" I say as if this were some dramatic high school movie. I was expecting him to say something like "You're right" or "Sorry", but instead he replies with, "You are so hot when you talk seriously." I won't lie, I'm flattered. But I know that Clay isn't himself right now. He is overcoming a heartbreak. Or at least, I think.10 minutes later we are laughing so much. We both can't stop talking. But I know where this is going. He leans in, of course ._. and it happens all over again.
