Max x Werewolf reader

Max POV

I was just walking out of the Mess Hall after eating "dinner" god that food is gonna kill us one day. Right when I walked out, I saw Nikki running straight at me.

"MAAAAX!!!"

She jumped on top of me and started shaking me.

"Nikki what the hell do you want?!"

I was not having any of this shit right now. I wanna go to bed.

"Me and Neil are going to Spooky Island 'cause I swear the last time we were there, I SAW A WEREWOLF! Neil said it was one of the Quartermaster's "friends" but I have a really good feeling about this! So you coming?"

This is probably gonna end up in a disaster. Everything we go to Spooky Island something bad always happens. Eh, what do I have to loose?

"Fine. I'll go. Beats staying here with David."

"Awesome! Okay let's go!"

Time skip...

"Okay the traps are right this way guys!"

"Nikki there is no such things as werewolves! Let's leave now before we get killed or kidnapped or something!"

I'm honesty planning to kill Neil because he just. Won't. Shut. Up. Like, you should know by now that Nikki makes up tons of shit and won't take reality as an answer.

"Here it is! It caught something!"

"See Nikki, it's just a girl trapped in a cage and-OH MY GOD A GIRL IS TRAPPED IN A CAGE!"

I ran over to see what was going on and there was an actually human girl in a cage. She looked so sacred and nervous. Kinda cute. Wait, what? No Max she's not cute shut up and go back to reality.

"Hey moron. How the hell you get stuck in there?"

"Um well you see...I was just...you know...it's long and complicated..."

Oh my god her voice is so cute...MAX SNAP OUT OF IT! Nikki started asking the moron a ton of questions after that.

"What's your name? Are you from here? ARE YOU A WEREWOLF?!"

"My name is y/n, I guess you can say I'm from here, and me? A werewolf? That's ridiculous! Ha ha ha!"

That laugh sounded fake. Whatever werewolves don't exist.

"Nikki! Stop asking y/n questions and get her out of there!"

"Oh right. About that...I don't have a key."

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DONT HAVE A KEY?!?!"

"I might've lost it... after throwing it into the lake because I might've forgotten what it was for..."

It started getting dark and Neil was freaking out which is always hilarious and Nikki started swimming to the bottom of the lake to find the key.

"Okay. I'm going back to camp to get David or Gwen to get y/n out. You'll be okay staying here with y/n Max?"

"Yeah I'll be fine. Nikki may or may not have found the key when you get back."

After Neil left I finally had the realization that I was alone with y/n. Shit what am I supposed to do? I turn back around to see y/n grunting and her body shaking.

"Yo you okay? You seem like you're about puke."

She didn't answer and started to growl a bit.

"What the fuck is going on with you?"

Her skin got darker with a bunch of hair growing out. Her hands got a lot sharper and turned into claws. Her clothes ripped apart and started looking like an animal. Before you knew it, she turned into a wolf.

"Oh my god you're a werewolf! Nikki! Neil! Get over here and take a look at this!"

I turn back to y/n and she broke the cage! Fuck! I gotta find here! Then it hit me, I could leave and say I got her out. Yeah that'll work.

Time skip to next day

I walk out of my tent to see David, Neil, Nikki, and y/n staring at me. All started to yell at me at the same time.

"Max! Why'd you leave me with an empty cage and no werewolf or girl?!"

"Where were you? I had to be with David all night thanks to you!"

"Max, you have some explaining to do."

Y/n kept her mouth shut and stared at the floor. I hope she doesn't say anything about me abandoning her. I do hope that she explains that she's an actual fucking werewolf.

"Okay so what happened is that I found a rock and broke y/n out but got out too fast before she can catch up to me and went to sleep."

David told me to not leave any camper behind and Neil and Nikki walked into the mess hall for breakfast. I go over to y/n to ask what the fuck happened.

"So are you gonna explained what happened or do I have to make you?"

"Look, please don't tell anyone about what happened. It's a hard story to explain and I just don't wanna talk about it."

"Fine but there are no promises."

I watch y/n walks away and without thinking I ask

"Hey so, what are you doing later? Wanna go and hang out maybe?"

"Um sure. I'll meet you at the dock later."

She walked away with her cute smile. I don't know what I just did but I don't regret it.
