Greg groaned as he looked at the clock, it read 3 A.M. he rolled over in his bed and closed his eyes as he tried to convince himself to sleep. He rolled over again, trying and failing to get comfortable. After a hour of repeating this pattern he gave up on trying to sleep and got up, put on his robe and headed towards the kitchen. He pulled out a beer from his fridge and took a sip and sat on his couch 'Remember all the nights you spent on the couch? How when you woke up your back would ache but it was worth it because Bella was happy? Those were the days weren't they?' The falsely cheery voice in his head he had come to learn was depression told him as he drank his beer, chugging it more like. His eyes hurt, his head was pounding, and he was tired, but he just couldn't sleep. Every time he would start to get close to sleep that goddamn voice would come back and make him remember every mistake he had made that made Bella cheat. It was effecting his work and he knew it, Sally knew it, hell even Anderson knew it, but he couldn't stop working, if he stopped he knew he'd start to remember it all again. His days were all the same now, pass out at five, get up at six, go to work, and work until someone told him he needed to go home and sleep, which would't happen until five so he'd drink. He knew it wasn't a good habit but it helped him relax and feel normal.

He passed out at five thirty, later than usual but he didn't care. He got up and headed towards the shower, hoping it'll wake him up a little. It didn't. He shaved, nicking himself with the razor as he did so. He slowly got dressed and sighed as he looked in the mirror, hating the sight in front of him, his graying hair, and the dark circles under his eyes. He knew the latter was partially his fault which made him hate it more. He made himself a cup of coffee and drank it, as he made himself breakfast, plain toast. He knew he should be eating more, but he didn't care.
