I have lived a thousand years, I may live a thousand more... or I may die tomorrow... but I no longer fear death for I have known it once already.

"Are you kidding me!" I all but shouted as Jane's mom never made eye contact with me. "All this time you were being a homophobic cunt and behind everyone's back you were hooking up with another woman?!"

"Lady Faye!" My boss snapped, clearly taken aback by my outburst and vile language.

"And you! You knew how she treated me and you said nothing."

"You don't under-"

"The fuck I don't!"

"You watch your mouth in my office!" Ms. T cut in and I found myself falling silent as her dominant voice took over. "You have no idea what is going on here and yet you walk in throwing insults and behaving just as ignorant as she did in the beginning."

"I-"

"Interrupt me again! I dare you."

I fall silent once more and the anger I had, suddenly evaporated as she stared at me.

"You know nothing and yet you dash in here like some ridiculous little child... as though I taught you nothing! I'm disappointed in you, I really am."

She folds her arms as she braces the desk and is uncaring as to whether it is inappropriate to be wearing a strapon in this situation or how it would make us feel. Jane's mom is already properly dressed and she stays silent at the opposite end of the room, her eyes downcast and arms wrapped around her.

Ms. T takes a deep breath before pointing to one of her chairs and I sit in silence as she walks over to Mrs. Paige.

"Why don't you head home? I'll deal with her."

I ignore the two of them and kept my head down as she passes me to get to the door. When I hear my boss sigh again I bit my lip as I awaited her next move.

"Darcy, look at me. Right now you remind me of a sub and I can't stand to see you like that."

I look up at her and she exhales before removing her device and pulling on her robe.

"Things are more complicated than it looks." She begins softly, coming and sitting near me. "We... she... I don't know what this is, I honestly don't know what to tell you. I would if I could... but..."

She exhales and I finally look at her. "Do you love her?"

"What? No, I'm married and I love my husband."

"So, she's a client?"

"No... I... it's complicated."

"I should go."

"Promise me this stays between us."

"You expect me to keep this from my girlfriend?"

"The rules of this club still applies. Today might be your last day but as long as you're under this roof, you're not allowed to discuss these things with anyone. Not even your girlfriend."

I stare at her for a few seconds before sighing as I caved. "Fine but one way or another, she will know."

"Then so be it. But that day is not today."

I stay silent and she takes that as my agreement before she gets up and walks over to her desk.

"I always knew you wouldn't be working for me all your life but I never knew you'd leave this soon. Are you sure this is what you want?"
