Love is not a game and my heart is not a playground.

The venue was a really nice, spacious area located downstairs at a hotel and I observed in awe the designs of the reception area. It was obvious that Carr and Roni chose red and white as their wedding theme and as my eyes roamed the scenery before me, it was correct to say I was completely caught off guard when my eyes landed on both brides' parents.
Specifically, Carol's mom, Rosa Paige.
She was chatting up a storm with her husband Austin Paige and I smiled as he pretended to be interested by the words coming out of her mouth. No doubt it would be some very strict views of hers when it came to her daughter and this 'lifestyle". Before my eyes could look away Mr. Paige saw us and I half smiled as he made his way over.
"Hey, its Darcy, right?" He greets, coming to a halt near us.
"Hey Mr. Paige, yeah it is... am, Carr invited me?" I answered unsurely.
"Oh? Well it's really nice of you to make it. I know you girls were good friends and all..."
He paused when his eyes finally landed on the girl besides me and I mentally scolded myself for being rude and not introducing her. She was as silent as a cat standing next to me and I passed her a guilty look before the bride suddenly joined our group.
"Hey dad." Carol says as she first greets him.
"Hey, kiddo."
He pulls her into a half hug before excusing himself and I nodded respectfully before watching at his retreating back. Turning my attention once more to Carr, I realized her eyes were stuck once more on my 'date'. My own eyes roam over Carr's attire and I inwardly approved of her body fitting white dress that flowed all the way to the ground. It was a far cry from the traditional wedding gown with just a beautiful yet simple design at the front making me all too aware that she had changed after the ceremony was over. The tightness of the dressed made her small breasts look way too inviting and I wondered how they stayed up without any straps. My mind was brought back to the now as she spoke to me and I shook my head mentally as I tried to focus.
"-you could make it." She finishes with a smile as I zone back in and I flash a smile out of politeness.
"It's been a really long time since we hung out or even spoke and I do apologize for being such a pompous ass."
I chuckled and shook my head. "Oh you were, but how can I blame you? I probably deserved it."
She smirked at me and I smacked my head as realization hit me. "Shit, congratulations on the wedding thing."
"Oh thanks. It's pretty rash and whatnot and I know we didn't wait a whole year like normal couples do but I know what I wanted and I would be damned to wait a year just to show the world she was mine."
There was a faint smile on her lips and I knew she was thinking about her bride, whom I was yet to see. Her eyes once more goes to the girl besides me and Carr clears her throat before awkwardly glancing back at me.
"Oh, am... this is..." what was her name again? "This is a friend of mine." I cleared my throat and awkwardly rubbed the back of my neck. "I hope it's not a problem that I invited someone to your reception."
