The Sun's Sea

chapter 1

He sought out the girl he thought he loved. He had to tell her the truth. He saw her, heading towards her cabin.

"Annabeth!", He called out. She stopped and waited for him to catch up. "Can we go somewhere Private?" He asked. Thinking something completely different, she nodded and they headed towards his cabin.

"Annabeth," he said as soon as they were in the cabin. "I don't love you."

"Wh-what?" She stuttered, trying not to cry.

"I thought I did, but I don't. I'm-" Percy didn't know how to say it.

"What?!" She said, with pure anger.

"I'm gay." He blurted out. "I finally realized, but didn't know how to tell you."

"Ugh, I'm sorry I even dated you, you freak. Why did you even go out with me if you were gay? To make people think you weren't?" With that she left, slamming the door on the way out.

Percy didn't know what to do. He knew Annabeth would be mad about the break up, but she was one of his friends. He thought she wouldn't care about him being gay and it wouldn't change their friendship. He was wrong. He went to visit Jason. Ever since him and Piper broke up they've been hanging out a lot more and for some reason, Percy was starting to see Jason as more than a friend. He was finally going to confess his love to Jason.

"Hey, did you tell her?" Jason asked as Percy walked into his cabin. He nodded.

"How'd she take?"

"Well, she got mad and called me a freak." Percy said, in a voice nearly inaudible as tears slid down his cheeks.

Jason sat down next to Percy and wiped away a tear from his cheek. He looked into the blondes beautiful blue eyes and was about to say what he really wanted to. But Jason acted first. He wrapped his arms around his waist and pulled him closer until there was no space in between their bodies and their lips meet. At first Percy was shocked, but wrapped his arms around Jason's neck and kissed back.

They were kissing for what felt like forever before they pulled apart.

" You're the most amazing person ever. If Annabeth doesn't see that and doesn't want to be your friend because of you being gay. That's her loss. I love you, Percy. I always will, no matter what."

Percy was shocked. Finally he said something.

" I love you too, Jason."

The boys stayed in the cabin for the rest of the day. Talking, kissing, and just being happy that they were finally together.
