Stitch Me Up. [Kakuzu Love Story].

Yumiko lay cuddled up to Kakuzu. They had met by accident during one of his bounties a few years ago. At first they had disliked each other and argued frequently but now they found love and peace with each other. "You look so hot with your long hair," She grinned, kissing his lips. He rolled his eyes and smiled at the beautiful girl in front of him. He truly cared for her. He looked into the distance and he could feel the eyes on him. Pein.. he had to leave Yumiko. She would be better off without him.

She was so kind. She didn't deserve a criminal. "I love you," Yumiko whispered as she gazed up at Kakuzu. He looked so peaceful - so handsome. "Yumi.." He whispered, smiling softly down at the petite girl in his arms. It was then that Kakuzu stood up, pushing her away. Yumiko gazed up at her lover confused before feeling threads pierce her stomach, "Kak..uzu?" She gasped out, looking at him with wide eyes. "I'm sorry.. it was the only way.." She fell to the ground as he walked away, leaving her in a puddle of her own blood. "Why...?"

Kakuzu refused to look back as his lover lay bleeding. He had to be strong and leave her. Otherwise she would be used against him. He loved her so much. As he finally exited the scene and was far enough, Pein stepped out from the shadows, "It is done," Kakuzu said, bowing his head. 'I'm sorry Yumi..' He thought. "I saw. Let us be on our way," Pein took the lead, guiding Kakuzu to the base where he would meet with the other members. He couldn't help as he gazed back one final time but he couldn't see her. 'Please live..'

Yumiko's eyes opened when she heard voices, "Naruto, shut up! I'm trying to work," A female's voice scolded. She turned her head in the direction seeing a pink haired girl with green eyes and a blonde boy with blue eyes. As she turned her head to the other side she was greeted by a man with grey hair and a single brown eye - the other covered by a mask. Behind him stood a brown haired man with a creepy stare and a boy, same age as the other 2 on the other side, with dark hair and a blank expression.

"Where am I?" She asked, trying to sit up only to be pushed back, "Don't move. You haven't recovered yet," The girl said. Yumiko frowned as she looked at her before her gaze turned to the silver haired man, "We found you bleeding. We took you back to the Leaf Village to stitch you up," He spoke calmly but she could sense that he was wary of her. "Thank you.. but there was no need," She forced a smile. "What happened to you?" The blonde spoke up and she flinched, "My.. partner attacked me," She whispered, flinching as the memories came back to her.

"Oh, I'm so sorry.." The blonde had whispered, placing a hand on hers. She pulled it away instinctively before forcing a smile. "My name is Yumiko Shiori.. I.. I come from the Sand Village," She whispered. "I am Naruto, that's Sakura, Kakashi, Sai and Yamato. It's nice to meet you!" The blonde introduced her to everyone and she forced a smile on her face. "It's nice to meet you all. Thank you for healing my wounds," She said before adding, "But I must go. I need to know why.." She trailed off.

Naruto nodded his head, "I understand-" He was interrupted by the pink haired girl, Sakura, "But you can't leave yet. Your wounds haven't healed enough for you to be walking around," Yumiko forced a smile, "I see.. I will stay for a little while longer then," She smiled but she felt broken. 'Why Kakuzu? I loved you.. I thought you loved me..' She couldn't stop thinking about what she wanted to ask him. "I need to find him," She said out loud before apologizing, "Sorry. I didn't mean to say that," Naruto could see the pain on Yumiko's face. He could see that she loved her partner.

"I'll help you find him," Naruto said without thinking and Yumiko couldn't help the way she smiled at the blonde boy. "You don't have to. But that's very sweet of you Naruto, thank you," Her smile was genuine for once. She noticed the silver haired man staring at her and she finally looked at him for once. He was nice looking - probably around her age. She wondered what his face would be like if she had told them her partner was 90+ year old man. She imagined their reactions being hilarious.

"Naruto.. We don't have time for that," She heard the pink haired girl whisper to him and she looked over at them and Naruto didn't look happy. "If we help her we might find Sasuke on the way. If we can help others while we do our mission, then we should," Naruto seemed like such a good person. She couldn't help the way she watched him. "You are one in a million Naruto," She commented, causing him to blush, "You are probably one of the kindest people I have met since I left my village," She said. Naruto smiled bashfully and rubbed his neck. "Thanks," He mumbled.

"Naruto likes girl with black hair and red eyes.." She heard the boy named Sai say as he scribbled something into a book. She looked confused as Naruto yelled at him to shut up. "Guys," The man called Kakashi said before being interrupted by Yamato, "She is a pretty lady," He said, leaning in and staring. Yumiko looked around awkwardly avoiding his stare. "Yamato-sensei, you're making her uncomfortable!" Naruto said. Yamato apologized and stepped back. "Guys, let's leave her to rest. Sakura you should stay with her to make sure there aren't any other injuries," Kakashi said, giving Yumiko a look. 'He wants you', The voice in her head said.

She shook her head and forced a smile at Sakura, "Let's get started, shall we?" Sakura smiled softly and started checking her for any more internal damage.

After Kakuzu had met the few members, he went immediately to be alone. He kept thinking back to Yumiko. His Yumiko. She was the only thing he loved more than money. "Please be okay.." He whispered,

"I love you."
