Heather woke up with a pang in her leg. She grunted and pulled back the covers. Her right leg was wrapped up in bandages. She furrowed her eyebrows. The last thing she remembered was hunting down a chimera. She was about to kill it when it attacked her. She fought, and eventually killed the thing. But with major injuries.
Harry walked in with a tray with some crackers, cheese and tea.
"How are you feeling?" He asked setting down the tray on her bedside table.
Heather tried to swallow, but her throat was dry. She sat up, and drank some tea.
"Okay. I guess." Said Heather. "Has Percy or Annabeth made contact?"
Harry shook his head. "Annabeth? That's Percy's girlfriend right?"
Heather nodded. "Yes. I just thought they'd be here by now."
Harry sat down on the edge of her bed. "Heather do you remember anything? Like what happened or anything after that?"
Heather looked at him. Her instincts were screaming at her that he was a dangerous man. This whole family was dangerous. They told her, from the look of his eyes, he were hiding something. Something big. An innocent mans eyes would be full of light. But when she looked in Harry's eyes. She saw darkness.
"I just remember killing the chimera and getting hurt. I remember you coming, and I asked you to get ambrosia."
She thought for a moment. There was something nagging her. Like there was supposed to be a memory there somewhere but wasn't.
Suddenly, Harry looked curious. "What's ambrosia?"
She sighed. "Ambrosia is for demigods only, if a mortal, like you for instance, were to eat it, you would burn up. It's like a healing food. It heals demigods."
Harry looked to be thinking. "That's interesting. So like medicine."
"A relatively fast acting medicine, yeah."
There was silence for a few moments. Until Heather couldn't take it any more.
"What are you hiding from me?"
Harry, taken aback, said, "What?"
"You have a guilty mans face. What are you hiding from me?"
Harry looked shocked, then scoffed. "hiding from you? Why would you think I'm hiding from you?."
Heather wished she had inherited her dads powers, the ability to see into his soul and pull out any information she might need. She wished she possessed the power of prophecy. So she could see into his future. Her own future.
"Only a guilty man answers a question with questions" she said.
Harry sighed. "I don't know what you want me to tell you. I have nothing to hide, and I'm certainly not guilty."
Heather disagreed, but stayed silent.
She looked at the tray with the crackers and cheese, uneaten.
Harry sighed, "I'm hiding nothing from you." He got up and stopped at the door. "If I am, it's probably because I want to keep you safe."
"Safe from what?" Heather called as Harry left.
A few hours later, Heather woke up from her nap. She'd already eaten the cheese and crackers earlier. She looked at the time. It was six' o clock in the after noon. She really wished that Percy would be here by now. Then she could talk to him about all about the sketchy people she was living with. She knew deep in her heart that Harry wasn't being truthful. He was hiding something from her. She just couldn't figure out what, and it made her nervous. What if his secret was deadly? What if he really was the bad guy? And what had he meant about wanting to keep her safe? So many questions floated through her head, it made her dizzy.
"Heather?" Ginny poked her head in Heathers bedroom. "I brought up some dinner for you." She had a tray full of roast and vegetables with a side of rolls.
Heathers stomach growled.
Ginny laughed. "Guess you're hungry."
Heather smiled sheepishly. "I guess so."
"So heather." Ginny said, sitting down at the edge of her bed.
"What do you know about Wizards?"
Heather laughed. "Wizards? Like the old guy with a big pointy hat and a dress covered in stars? They're not real."
She studied Ginny's face. Ginny was an attractive redhead with a pixie cut.
Heather, couldn't tell what Ginny was thinking which bothered her. So she started counting her freckles.
"Heather." Said Ginny slowly. "What if I were to tell you they were real?"
Heather looked up from looking at her freckles. "What, you mean like Wiccans?"
Ginny chuckled. "A little more powerful than Wiccans. True magic."
Heather thought for a moment. True magic?
"Like Hecate?"
Ginny furrowed her eyebrows. "Who?"
"Hecate," Said heather. "The goddess of magic."
"Well, Yes." Said Ginny. "Like Hecate."
Heather considered this. If there were really wizards out there. That would be a whole new world.
"Wait." Said Heather suspiciously. "Why are you telling me this?"
"To see if you believe." Said Ginny simply.
"Okay...." Heather said, she was feeling uncomfortable.
"So you really are a Demigod?" Asked Ginny.
Heather nodded. "Yes. I'm the daughter of Apollo. I can shoot an arrow with perfect aim. I'm a really good healer. Which is ironic since I couldn't heal myself, and I can fight with a sword. Percy Jackson taught me. Along with other people when he wasn't available."
Ginny looked at her intently. "So this Percy Jackson. He's not a threat is he?"
Heather laughed. "No, he's the nicest guy you'll ever meet! He isn't a threat to anybody!"
"Okay." Ginny took a deep breath. "I just want to keep my family safe."
"He won't hurt you or your family. I promise." Said Heather.
Heather wriggled her right toes. She gasped. She hadn't been able to do that all day!
Ginny looked alarmed. "What? What is it?"
"I think-I think." stammered Heather. "I might be healed."
She started taking off her cast. Her leg was a purplish blue from lack of oxygen. She wriggled her toes again and started massaging her leg.
"Well, can you stand?" Asked Ginny.
Heather got out of bed. And walked. It hurt a little at first, but then the pain went away.
She laughed. "Thank the gods for ambrosia!"
Just then there was a knock at the door.
Ginny and Heather heard Harry answer it.
Suddenly, there was shouts coming from  the living room.
She and Ginny both heard. "NO! PERCY! STOP!"
They looked at each other wide-eyed.
Then they both bolted down stairs. Heathers dinner lay quite forgotten on her nightstand.
