Back Again

•• Rose's POV ••

Walking downstairs I see Hope on the couch wearing some cloths I gave her. Now that she is showered and clean I can clearly see her. Her usual short pixie cut brown hair , is now past her waist , and she is extremely skinny and pale. Her brown eyes show a glint of sadness yet happiness.

"Morning Hope" I say softly to her , since the twins are still sleeping , it's only 5 in the morning , and the baby's wouldn't let me sleep , since they wanted to kick the living hell out of me.

She turns to look at me and she smiles "Morning. Why up so early?" She asks.

I sigh "Couldn't sleep"

"Me either" She says and looks down "Rose?"

"Yeah?" I ask her.

"How would you feel if you lost a child?" She asks.

I raise an eyebrow "I would be heartbroken -... Why? What's the point of that question?"

She looks up , tears in her eyes. "Well when my sister got killed I ran away. Leaving Daniel ((her mate)) , and I found out I was pregnant. I ended up loosing the child. I was torn. But I figured it was the best for the child , since I couldn't have raised it anyway."

I gasp sadly "Oh Hope. I'm so sorry. I know how you feel. Jake and I lost our first child due to an attack."

My wolf whimpers sadly at the memory of our pup who didn't survive. I can't help but ask the next question. "Why did you leave anyway?"

Her eyes grow wide and she looks away. "Umm... uh.." She stutters.

'She disobeyed us! Make her answer our question!' My wolf growls , the alpha coming out in her.

'Calm down!' I snap at her and she scoffs.

"Hope. Why did you leave? That is a question , and I want an answer" I say in my alpha voice.

"I just did okay. I had to"

"No you didn't. I'm leaving now and I want an answer by the end of the week"

"But-"

"By the end of the week" I say sternly and walk out of the room.

I let out a deep breath as I lean against the front porches railing. A rustling behind me makes spin around , my eyes alert.

The thick smell of death , blood , and grass fills my nose making me scrunch it up. A tall , lean figure walks from the shadows. A grin spreads across her sickly pale face. "What do you want?" I growl.

She smirks "You will find out soon enough. Just wait. Don't trust anyone" her eyes narrow and look into mine.

I clench and unclench my fists a growl ripples from behind me and I smell Jake and Hope behind me but I don't dare turn away from her.

A hand is set on her shoulder and she looks up. I can't see the face as it's hidden in the tree' shadow. A deep voice says "Let's go".

The voice sends a chill down my body. And not a good one.

They turn around and take off like cheetah's. Jake steps forward , his body shaking in anger. His eyes flashing from black to brown. Telling me he is fighting for control.

"Jake no" I softly say "The kids are up. I don't want them to see you like this" I lay a hand on his shoulder.

He looks down at me and relax's but I can hear his wolf's thoughts 'I'll kill them. I swear' His wolf growls.

He jerks from me "I got to go. I'll be back in about three hours" He says and takes off , turning into his black wolf.

•• Elizabeth's POV ••

I hate her. I hate him. I hate them all. I can't wait to kill her slowly. I'll make her beg me to kill her.

I stand before my master and he looks up at me smirking. "Wait till she gives birth. Then once those kids are out , get the boy. He's different. Then kill them all".

I smile evilly "I'll gladly do that. I can't wait. When is she due again?"

"Two weeks. But really any time now"

I nod , my black hair bobbing up and down around my shoulders. I sigh and tie it up so it's out of my face.

"I'll be back. I'm going to go somewhere" I tell him and he nods and stands up to leave.

Before he leaves the room he turns back to me "Love you Liz"

"Love you too David"
