"Just explain, please," Sabrina said calmly.

They were back in the room, Cameira paced around. Her hands were plunged into her short curly hair. Sabrina stood still by the bed side table.

"Explain to me why you're suddenly throwing caution to the wind," Cameira ripped her hands from her hair and turned to look at Sabrina, "You were always so careful. You were equally picky with relationships. Farris walks in and suddenly you're head over heels."

"I-," Sabrina began but Cameira cut her off.

"What about Tanner? A week ago you were in love with him and now you're probably ready to drop to your knees for Farris."

Sabrina looked in surprise at Cameira, "You're not any better! How many times did I have to peel your drunk ass off the sidewalk? How many times did I have to pick you up from some guys house because you were too drunk to drive yourself home?"

Cameira stopped pacing. She opened her mouth, closed it and opened again, "That was different because I'm not you. I was never careful. You've felt love. You know how it feels. I'm difficult to love because I'm impulsive and reckless and I'm drowning in my own trust issues."

"What about Kai? He likes you. He cares about you. Are you just throwing him to the side?"

Cameira was silent.

"I'm throwing caution to the wind because maybe I want to know how it feels like to be you. How it feels to be reckless."

"How does it feel? Nice? Yeah, at first it's nice. Then later you finally realize how stupid it all was. How much guilt and regret you truly have."

This time Sabrina was silent.

"Farris should be done with his simulation now. I have to help administrate Kai's sim. so.." Cameira trailed off and stared at the ground, "I'm sorry."

Sabrina wrapped her arms around Cameira, "I'm sorry too."

"Cameira Vipes to room 600. Cameira Vipes to room 600," the voice called out from a speaker in the wall.

"Fuck you, Rachel."

Sno's laughter bellowed out from the speaker. It sounded distant like he was walking away.

In a few moments, Cameira was alone with Kai in an elevator.

"How are you, Cami?"

Cameira looked over to him, "How do you think?" She laughed and leaned her head against the elevator walls with closed eyes.

"You're great at hiding your feelings. I don't know how you are."

"Fight me, Stronghold."

She opened one of her eyes to see him tilt his head with a grin as he contemplated the scene. He stepped forward until he was directly in front of her, "Alright. I'll fight you."

He grabbed her wrists and pulled her towards his body. He placed a hand on her back, securing her against him. He lowered his head to her ear, "I'm certain this isn't what you meant," his voice was relaxed and Cameira could hear the grin in his voice.

In a swift motion he turned her so that her front was against the wall and her arm was against her back. He was close to her, a tight grip on her arm. She nearly let out a noise.

The elevator dinged and Kai let go of her.

"I learned a few things from Farris," Kai let out a laugh as he exited the elevator into the 6th floor lobby.

After a moment, Cameira followed after him.

Rachel sat at the desk, leaning forward as she spoke to Kai. A flirtatious grin on her lips as she batted her eyelashes at him.
