It was only when the warm sun had finally over come the trees that Cameira peeled herself off the car and made her way toward the house one last time. She stopped to open the garage door to let the smoke out if the garage, knowing she would need things from inside.
She held her breath as the large plume of smoke billowed out into the open. She then continued her path to the front door where she would make her final appearance to the house she spent so many summers and weekends at. However, when she looked around the interior now, it felt like a whole new place.
Only, for once, she wasn't curious enough to discover it.
She wanted to get what she needed and get out. With that she walked through the house blindly go to exactly where she needed from memory.
The garage, where Antonio's body lay, bloody and dead still tied to her aunts favored hunk of metal that would never see the light of day or the pavement of a road again. It would never feel the wind stabbing softly at its hood and windshield again. Never again would its headlights break through the dark of night.
This was where Cameira went, grabbing at things blindly as smoke still rested near the ceiling. She grabbed filled bottles of oil and gallons of gas. Setting each item gently into her aunts cart she kept in the garage in order to easily move things like this.
Not wanting to overfill her car, she only took the two types of liquid and placed them carefully in the trunk. She then returned to the garage and picked up the red tool box that still lay near Antonio's lifeless body. As she picked it up, the boy upstairs before yelling.
"Hey psycho lady! I'm still up here!"
Cameira placed the tool box on the roof of the car and made her way upstairs to wear the boy was still chained to her bed. When she got there she took a slow step inside the room.
"Yes, I would have hoped you were still here," Cameira spoke suddenly, causing the dirty blond haired boy to jump and turn in her direction as much as he could.
"Can you let me go?"
"Why?"
He paused, "B-Because you need somewhere safe to go and I can take you there."
"Why should I trust you?"
"You shouldn't. Don't trust anyone now. I'm just asking you to tolerate me long enough so I can get home."
"Where is home?"
"A library a couple dozen miles from here. If you let me direct you there, the people there will give you everything you could ever need. Food, a bed for the night, good people to talk to. Please, I just want to go home, I have a daughter there that I want to see again."
"Use Antonio's car."
"I can't, it broke down a mile from here, we walked the rest of the way."
Cameira paused and put two fingers on the bridge of her nose in frustration, "Don't touch anything in my car, don't talk to me and don't look at me."
When she walked up to him to take the rope off of him, he sarcastically shut his eyes tight. When the rope was off, she stood up and he opened his green eyes wide.
"Wait, what about the chain?"
"You seem like the grabby type. I don't need you to be grabbing my baby as though she's some really nice burger."
Cameira didn't let him respond because she grabbed his arm and lifted him up roughly.
When he was upright, there was nothing she could do to silence him, "Please I'll do anything if you take the chains off."
"No-," she cut herself off before a grin took place of her poker face, "Jump off the balcony."
He looked over to the balcony and began shaking his head in heavy disagreement.
"Do you want the chains off or not?"
"Fine..."

Cameira stood outside, leaning against the hood of her car as she looked up at Farris pacing the balcony.
He threw a now free hand through his hair before turning to Cameira and shouting, "Do I really have to?"
Her smile spread as she nodded her head and lifted the chains in her hand up for him to see his answer. He simply threw his hands in the air along with throwing his head back to face the blue sky and yelling to the sun in frustration.
"You have a messed up sense of humor!" He shouted after he turned back to look at her.
"Would you just let the show begin?"
His pacing began again, he kept his eyes glued to the ground, trying to find the safest place to jump to.
Finally his pacing stopped and he looked over the ledge at a blue car that looked more comfortable than the rocks to the right. Leaves grew around the car, making it look like a promising place to land.
With that, the green eyed boy threw himself over the railing. He lifted with his arms and threw his legs gracefully over the ledge.
His landing happened quickly with a loud thud to the roof of the car which was followed by a loud groan. He landed on his arm. He rolled over onto his back and groaned again.
He lifted his head to glance at the hazel eyed girl that had moved closer, "Are you happy now, Princess?"
"Very. Lets go."
