It's time.

Cold. My feet are cold. The shoes I have on are broken. Small holes on each foot let the wind whisper to my skin.

"Dear, come to me. I know you need it, please, come."

Sweet words. She was a caring, lovely person. Her eyes, whilst talking to me, used to do a little game, before stopping at the center of her stunning soul, and a smile would usually come, right after that pause.

Those words came out of her lips at dinner. Well, not exactly at dinner, we had actually already eaten at that point, but we were both still sitting at the table, staring at each other. I was blindly covered in a soft blanket made of insecurity and self hate. She, on the other hand, was just trying to do her best. As always.

I didn't answer. She knew why, she knew what, she knew how. I kissed her cheek. Her skin was warm, I still feel it on my lips. That warmth just makes my entire body a complex, huge, trembling contrast of opposing forces. A mixture of failures and successes, love and hate, walking and running. I can not control my movements, since my legs can barely do a few steps at the same pace, changing alternatively between moments of desperate, lonely slow walk and moments of absolute blindness given by the strong wind that forces my eyes to close.

I left home. Didn't say a word. She didn't need to stop me. She knew I would come back. I will always come back for her.

A woman approaches me. It's so cold her face is almost impossible to fully grasp, given the scarf she has on.

"I love you."

"I know." she replies.

It's night. I can't see her very well, but I look for her left hand with my right hand. As soon as I find it, whilst still staring at the small portion of skin that the scarf leaves uncovered, I hold it. I feel her fingers slightly move, to find a more comfortable position.

She turns. Now she's looking toward the direction I was facing before meeting her.

"It's funny."

"What?" I ask.

"Wasn't this the place where we first met?"

"It is."

"Well, this is the same scarf, too!"

"I didn't notice." I lied.

She turns. I can see her hair. What a wonderful silver coloured hair.

"It is time now. We must say goodbye." she muttered.

"Maybe this time I never will."
