Mackenzie’s POV

I woke up at around 6 am, inaantok pa talaga ako but I made myself ready.

Nag taxi ako papunta kina Adelaida. Hindi ko sinabi that I was coming kaya nasurprise siya when she opened the door.

"Anong ginagawa mo dito?" tanong niya

Her hair is still wet, hindi pa nga nasusuklay and maitim rin yung bags niya. But she's still beautiful.

"Susunduin ka."

I saw her Mom coming towards us.

"Good morning po Tita." bati ko

“Good morning rin, Mac. Napaaga ka yata. Kumain ka na ba?”

“Wala pa po. Sa school na lang po ako kakain.” sabi ko

“Hindi, sabay ka na sa amin.”

“Sa school na lang daw po siya kakain Ma.” sabi naman ni Adelaida

“Adelaida, ano ka ba? Halika Mac, pasok.” sabi ni Tita

Pumasok na lang rin ako. Pinaghanda ako ni Tita ng bacon with bread and Milo. It smells so tempting.

“Anak, maupo ka. Sabayan mo na yung boyfriend kumain.”

Inurong ni Adelaida yung chair then she sat beside me. I smiled at her but she still kept a straight a face. I smiled more at the thought that she might be jealous that’s why she acts that way. I just hope na yung gagawin ko mamaya will bring back that contagious smile on her face.

“Thank you for the food, Tita.” I started taking a bite from my burger

“You’re welcome. Sige mga anak, mauna na ako sa inyo. Adelaida wag kang mag simangot dyan, ka aga-aga.” hinalikan ni Tita si Adelaida then Adelaida faked a very wide smile

I laughed at her face pero nag panggap na lang ako na naubo dahil she gave me her “death stare” look.

“Ooof, oof.”

“Oh ok ka lang?” tanong ni Tita

“Opo tita. Sige po tita, ingat po kayo.”

She took her bag then lumabas na ng bahay.

*Crickets*

*Crickets*

“Adelaida, please eat.” I told her

Hindi niya ako sinagot

“Aalis na lang ako, mag hihintay lang ako sa labas. Just come out whenever you’re ready.” nakatayo na ako nung nag salita siya

“CGM..” she sighed

“Sorry sa inasal ko,sabayan mo na ako.”

“Are you sure?” paninigurado ko

Nag nod lang siya kaya umupo ako ulit.

“By the way, we’ll be walking. I left my motor sa school.”

Nag nod lang ulit siya. I’m not used to her being so quiet but we still ate in silence.
