I Am Not Ashamed of the Gospel

So let me be honest I'm the type of person who will spend a whole night studying for a test to get C maybe even B.

But then I have a deep thought.

Why am I doing this?
Why am I study for this test?

Well for me to get a good grade.

Okay, good reason. Then what.

For me to get a good GPA and get into a good college.

Alright then what.

Um well I'll get a good job, I'll find my future spouse, get married.

Another good reason. Then what.

Start a family and provide for them.

Okay but then what.

Well then I guess retire after that then did.

Do you see my point in all of this?
Where is God?
How many times have you thought, "Man if I only got that one thing." Or "God, of you give me this one thing I'll thank you forever."

There is nothing wrong with money or power. God has given us all unique gifts but let's use them in the way he wants us to.

In Mark 10:17-20 there is a man asking Jesus something, but this man left and rejected the answer. He lived for things and there is nothing wrong with that, but are your things glorifying God? None of those things will fulfill you, only God can do that. He is the only one who can fill the empty hole in our hearts. There is a longer life waiting for us after we die. We are like mist that's here one minute and gone the next.

We need to store up riches in heaven and not the earthly possessions that will be stolen, broken, and discarded. Stuff will never satisfy you, God is the only one who can satisfy you. That question of why am I doing this still pops in my head, but it gives me hope. I know where I'm going.

Where are you going?

God knows we can never be perfect and get to him when we are sinners. That's why he came to us and created a way for us to get to him. Other religions aren't like that, Christianity is the only religion that true and real. God cares about where we will spend the rest of our eternal life and he wants us to be with him.
I want to see you in heaven one day, we will stand in the glory of God and stare at him in awe and wonder. So again.....

Hello everyone! Thank you so much for ready my book! I'm sorry I haven't posted anything in a while. Sadly I was one of the many people in Houston affected by Hurricane Harvey so I've been having to go through that these last couple of weeks/months. But I promise I will do my best to post more (if school doesn't kill me😉). One of my future posts will be about my experience during Hurricane Harvey.
