Chapter 2
Carmen's POV
I am Carmen Mason. I go to Yale University and I an the top in all my classes. I don't do boyfriends so I have a lot of studying time. So I just got out of my last class for the evening when I feel this sudden pull towards the city. It felt like my heart felt it was in love and needed whatever it is that's in the city. I just thought " I do love food and the city has some good food so I should go get some". And that's exactly what I did! Once inside the city, I feel that same pull but it didn't occur till this really strange looking ... "Ugh. Watch where you're going...." I was stopped by the guys beauty. It was like seeing an angel even though they aren't real. I just got up and walked away as fast as I could. I started to think aloud " I can't honestly have feelings for this stranger. He could be a rapist or a serial killer! Well at least he's go...". Again I was stopped mid sentence but this time by a hand on my shoulder. "Hello. Umm I'm so sorry I bumped into you. I was wondering would you like to go for coffee?". I just stood there before asking " Are you going to try and kill me because I have had karate lesson and I can kill you within 2 minutes". He let out a small laugh and said "No. I just feel really bad about bumping into you and thought I would buy you coffee." I gave him an okay and we were on our way!
Angel's POV
I'm so stupid! She's my charge. And my home is under attack by the the dark cupids. I just felt this pull and that caused me to bump into her and then I felt the urge to actually talk to her so here we are. Drinking coffee! She has pretty brown hair, hazel eyes, and is a little shorter than me. She is really smart and every time she smiles I melt on the inside. Anyway I realize I didn't ask for her name or tell her mines so I say " My name is Angel. What's your name?". I already knew her name since she's my charge but it would be weird not to ask. She replies with " My name is Carmen Mason and I have to get back to campus!" With that we said our goodbyes and just like that she was gone.
