Chapter 4
Carmen's POV
It's been 2 days since I've Angel. I still feel that pull but it seems darker now. Well it's Monday and I just finished class so I decide to go for coffee. As I enter the coffee shop, I see a strange looking guy watching me from across the street. He had on a brown, long jacket and a hat that covered his face. I quickly walked to the counter and ordered my coffee. After about 5 minutes of waiting, I grab my coffee and find a seat. I look out the window to see the man walking across the street towards the shop! I didn't know what to do so I walked back up to the counter and started conversation with the cashier who looked confused. "Can you just talk to me until that creepy guy leaves or at least until I finish my coffee?" I asked with a pleading face. The cashier gave in and we talked for what seemed like hours but was only 20 minutes. "I'm finished my coffee and thank you for talking to me!"I said as I knew I had to leave. I look over my shoulder to see the man still sitting there. "Well, you have a good and safe night!" the cashier told me as I walked out of the door. I could feel the man following me and closing the space when an arm pulled me into a hug. Once I'm let go of, I see Angel looking at my with a relieved face like he was glad to see me. I looked to see if the man was still there and he turned in the other direction with what I'm guessing was a disappointed sigh. "Well if you didn't show up, I might have been dead" I joked but Angel didn't laugh. "Is everything ok Angel? You look like you've seen a ghost!" He shook his head yes but I wasn't buying it! "You can't keep saying nothing is wrong when you look like you thought I was dead!" By now I was yelling and was getting strange looks from people. "I'm fine!" He said through his clenched teeth. I started to feel like a jerk for pushing him." I'm sorry. You just looked.... You know what forget it." I said as I realized how stupid I sounded. He smiled and said" No. No. By all means do continue." I started laughing and we talked while he walked me to campus. "Goodnight." I said as we reached the gates. "See you!" He said and then he left.
Angel's POV
I was really upset. I was going through the remains of the Cupid library when I felt Minus' dark presence approaching Carmen. I had to stop what I was doing to save her. "Now that I know she safe on her campus, I can finish my studying!" I went back to find Minus sitting in a chair. "Well I see you found a way to foil my plan. Well you only foiled plan A. I have way better resources but this can all end if you join us. Our power together can rule the world." His eyes looked power hungry. I saw a book glowing behind his chair . I was praying that he wouldn't see it. "I already saw the damn book you idiot! I just can't touch it because only its owner can! You should pay more attention in your cupid classes." I was so lost by now. "How do you know so much about good Cupids?" I asked without thinking. "Isn't it obvious? I used to be one of you goodie-goodies! I was one of the supremes. I got bored of finding love for other people so I guess you could say I joined the dark side" he said with an evil laugh. "Well If you want a cupid war, then why bring Carmen into this?" He sat there like I just asked him are Cupids real! "You are so blind to what's really going on. This plan will work out just fine! Well I have some planning to do and lives to ruin so until then farewell and tell Carmen I will be back" and with that he was gone!
