CRASH!
"Dangit!" Vylad whisper-shouted to himself. He started picking up all the books that he had just dropped. There were at least 1 books for each subject. Vylad quickly turned his head to the sounds of footsteps outside his door. Soon enough, Zane was seen opening the door.
"What the hell was that noise...?" He tiredly said, rubbing his eye.
"Sorry Zane! I was just trying to get all my books into my book bag and I kinda dropped them all." Zane looked around the room. Lights were on, supplies were everywhere, Vylad was already pretty much ready to get to class. He looked at the alarm clock, it was 4:30.
"You do realize that you don't have to be up for another 30 minutes right...? Also how long have you been up?!" Vylad gave a nervous chuckle.
"Yeah I know that... aaand I maaay have been up since since 2 in the morning... heh." Zane responded by rolling his eyes.
"Welp, I'm not going to sleep now. Might as well wake up Garroth." He said as he started walking towards the last bedroom down the hallway. He opened the door to, of course, see Garroth still asleep. "Ugh, he snores too loud... maybe we can quiet them down." Zane chuckled to himself. He grabbed a pillow and pressed it against Garroth's face. After a few seconds, Garroth woke up and pushed Zane away from him.
"Zane what are you trying to do?! Kill me?!" He whisper shouted at him as he sat up in his bed.
"Maybe, also Vylad woke me up so I thought I would wake you up too." Garroth was about to yell at him when-
BANG!
Garroth sighed.
"He's up way too early again, isn't he?" Zane nodded in response.
"Yup, I know he's excited for his Freshman year but I don't see what's so exciting about it."
"Maybe it's because Vylad has more motivation than you, baby brother." Garroth smirked, getting a small growl from Zane.
"Well maybe it's because he doesn't know what you went through in your freshman year." Garroth's smirk faded and there was an awkward silence. Zane had realized what he said.
"Um, sorry... I forgot how much you want to forget it..." Zane said as he looked off to the side.
"It's quite alright, it was an honest mistake." The awkward silence came back. Garroth and Zane just looked off to the side, then to the ground and back.
"Sooo... I'm gonna go get ready now." Garroth nodded as Zane began to leave the room.
"I should get ready myself." Garroth said to himself as he started putting things together, getting ready for his Sophomore year.
