I'm Not That Girl

What happens when someone you once knew returns to your life? Do things go back to the way they were? Are emotions involved? Do people get hurt? Those were the questions going through Elle Paterson's mind when Nick Ross reentered her life.

Elle was what one would refer to as the "nerd," when classifying different social standings in high school. She didn't think the same way as everyone around her, and because of that, the kids at her school didn't really understand her. All she saw at school were the snobby girls she couldn't wait to get away from. She was hanging on by a thread, and then, when she least expected it, Nick Ross was there to catch her. It's an odd romance, with twists and turns, the occasional best friend debacle, hint of jealousy, and rich airhead to screw things up. High school has always been a challenge, but who knew a private school could really have this much drama?

Lies, betrayal, and deceit-not exactly the building blocks for a "good" relationship, they do, however, make one heck of a good story. Olivia Ross was the "weird" girl growing up. People perceived her based solely on her outer appearance and socially awkward tendencies. Making new friends wasn't her strong suit, so she settled for the ones that she had. After years of being the "weird" girl, she changed. She became quieter and started breaking rules. She thought there was nothing good or exciting about the world in which she was living...until she met Luke Daniels. Luke was everything she needed. With tattoos, a questionable past, a motorcycle, and an attitude, he made the perfect bad boy. He was unlike any other boy she had ever known. Olivia may not have known much about the world, or what she was getting into when Luke Daniels entered her life, but one thing was definite: it was sure to be something bad.

When she came to a suburb of New York for her senior year of high school, she made the decision to keep her love of basketball a secret. No one knows she plays. No one knows her past. Why does Liz shield a part of her life from her new friends? What's keeping her back from exposing the truth? Well, to some, she's just the girl who wore Jordans.

This a favorite book of mine. It kept my phone in my hands, and it kept me constantly checking for updates. It's a spin-off from TGWWJ, but you don't have to read it in order to get this.

The only thing Sal wants is to make the basketball team. Her older brother is the captain of the boys' varsity team, so it only makes sense that basketball runs through her blood. Except for the fact that it doesn't. Bring in Ezra, a cute senior with a mysterious backstory and a better jump shot than Jordan. He decides to help Sal make the team, whatever it takes: late nights in the gym alone, LOTS of contact, and a little more-than-friendly bonding. They both want Sal to make the team, but at the end of the day, all that really matters is the swish.

After all, their love can't possibly be real-it's scripted. You've heard of faking straight, but what about faking gay?

THE FEELS. OMG. ASDFJKL; This is definitely my book that Sophie has written. I absolutely love it! It's funny and cute and amazing and, yeah, you get the point: GO READ IT.
