"Mother, it so nice to see you." I bring her into a quick hug.

"Have you been good,  daughter?" My mother asks instantly.

"Yes, mother, I have been good." I groan.

"Good, How's Robin doing?"

"He is doing well, he is in a meeting right now with his council. He'll be joining us for dinner later." I reply.

"Okay, good. Would you show me around?" She inquires.

"Sure, follow me." I put on a fake smile. As I show her around, I hear her sounds of disapproval; the decor is simplistic and that's something my mother doesn't like.

"It is very.. simple." She states. I roll my eyes and look towards her, on our way to the library.

"Yes, mother. It is simple, but it gives it something different. It's not like other castles, and I like it this way. The library is extraordinary though, it's huge, double the size of our castle, mother." I smile excitedly.

"Are you spending your whole day in here?" Mother asks me with disappointment in her eyes.

"No, mother. Before I go to sleep I like to come in here and read. Although, Robin has been extremely busy these past few weeks, so I have been alone with not much to do. Therefore, I have spent a good amount in here and on the beach." I say truthfully.

We start walking to where she will be staying when  she asks where I sleep. As we walk past it, I show what it looks inside, "Very pretty." She nods.

"Yes, it is. This way to yours." I say walking to the end of the long hall.

"Where is Robin's?" She adds, she had to go there. I point to his door, and a simple smile appeared on her face as we continued to walk.

"This is your room, I will leave you so you can get settled. I will see you at dinner." I smile and leave quickly.

I decide to go for a quick walk in the gardens to clear my thoughts. My mother annoys the hell out of me; she can lead you on and make you think she likes you, but on the inside she criticizing everything about you. She makes me so infuriated with her snobby sounds and comment. I miss my father, he kept her in check, most of the time. He was like her conscious in an odd way. Always trying to find the silver lining, and trying to get her to stop being a nagging little bitch.

"Hey beautiful!" Robin sneaks behind me and scares me, "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. My mother is here. I gave her a tour and had to deal with her snob comments and what  not." I say.

"I'm sorry I couldn't be with you for it, love. I hope you can forgive me." He says.

"You don't need to apologize, Robin." I reply.

"Well, I feel bad. What can I do to make it up to you?"

"There is nothing to make up for, dear. It's okay" I say, taking his hand as we walk through the garden together.

"I'm sorry your afternoon with your mother wasn't all that enjoyable."

"It's nothing that I'm not used. She was a lot nicer today than she has been a long time." I confess.

"Well, that's good, I guess."

"Mhm, we should go to dinner now, or mother will throw a fit, and blame me for it." I say walking back towards the castle.

"Okay. But wait a second."  He turns me towards him and leaves a soft kiss upon my lips, "Okay we can go now."

I smile, "Goober."
