Chapter 3

“SAVANNAH!” Hayes texted me.

  I replied, “WUUUT?”

  “I think we should hang out today after Magcon.” 

  “Sure”

  “I don’t forget to bring your sister because I am bringing Nash and I have something very special planned for them”

  “Ok and do you mind if I bring along my other friends Lauren and Grace?”  

“No problem. Cameron and Brent are coming anyway.”

  This was at 8 in the morning and I was exhausted. I take a shower, get dressed, and meet my friends at the breakfast table. I quickly slide a little “Oh and btw we are hanging out with Hayes, Nash, Cameron, and Brent today.” I sneak a glance at Isabel to look at her reaction and I could tell by the look on her face that she was excited.

  “So why are you and Hayes spending so much time together all of a sudden? You guys just met each other the other day.” Grace said.  

“Oh no reason. He seems nice.”was all I could say as I was thinking about Nash and Isabel.

  “Ooooooo somebody’s got a crush.” 

  “No I don’t I told you. We are just friends.”

  “Whatever”  

That got my thinking do I like Hayes? I mean he is kinda cute but I never really thought about him in that way. I don’t know.   When we got to the hotel they were staying at Hayes told me we were going surfing. He then asked if any of us knew how to surf. I just replied, “Of course we do! We live in Santa Cruz!” I just told him that we had to run back to our  house to get our things. He said ok and waited.   When we got to the beach I got my wetsuit on and took my surfboard down to the water. Nash and Isabel had gone off by themselves.  

Hayes POV

  Im glad that we are all hanging out together. Savannah and I’s  plan is working for Nash and Isabel. I really want to spend a lot of time here with them. They seem really cool.As I was looking off into the distance I heard someone yell,  

“Hayes! Let’s Go! We are running out of daylight!” yelled Savannah.

  “Ok, ok I’m coming.”

  We surfed all evening until the sun went down. The sunset was soooo pretty. And the way it made the natural red highlights in Savannah’s hair look. Wait! What am I doing? Do I even like Savannah? Suddenly I hear a scream...
