Chapter 4

Savannah’s POV

I’m having a great time surfing with Hayes in the sunset until I feel an excruciating pain through my legend scream. 

Hayes is screaming, “Savannah! Get out of the water! NOW!”

I don’t even hear him. All I can do is look down in shock. A shark has just bitten me. Blood is surrounding me. Luckily the shark is gone because people started to beat the shark until it went away. But everything around me is whoozy. The last thing I remember is looking down at my leg and not being able to see anything because of the blood. And then nothing. Everything went black.

Hayes POV

Oh God, oh God. Savannah has just been attacked be a shark. All the other people have gotten the shark away but Savannah is still bleeding…like a lot. I quickly paddle over to her but she is unconscious. I paddle her in and yell at everyone and anyone to call 9-1-1. I don’t even know what to do. I call Nash and Savannah and tell them franticly what happened. I hear Nash in the background telling Isabel to calm down. She was freaking out. Finally Nash and Isabel got here as well as the ambulance. She hasn’t lost any limbs but there is a huge gash on her thigh. The ambulance takes her and Isabel away leaving Nash and I just standing there. I explain everything to Nash. I forgot Lauren, Grace, Cam, and Brent were still here. They were looking at us strange because they didn’t know what had just happened. I  told Grace and Lauren first. Grace started freaking out and Brent was trying to calm her down. It was cute actually. Lauren just stood there and didn’t say a word. I asked Nash to text Isabel because he had her number. He quickly texted her to ask for updates. He went back to the hotel while Grace and Lauren went back to the hospital.

Savannah’s POV

I woke up to find my parents, my sister, Grace, and Lauren standing over me. I was a little bit dizzy but I glanced down at my leg and it was covered up. The doctors came in and told me that I had been bitten by a shark and that luckily I hadn’t lost any limbs but there would be a gigantic scar on my thigh. The next 3 days were a haze. Doctors and nurses came in and out and often my family came to see me. Then I remembered Hayes. Oh my gosh! I forgot all about him! He was there before I blacked out. He must have pulled me to shore! I looked around for my phone but couldn’t see it. When Isabel came in next I said,

“Have you seen Hayes?”

She answered, “No, but Nash I have been updating Nash because Hayes was worried about you.”

“Oh. Well could you please tell him that he probably saved my life and that I’m ok now?

“Sure, no problem"
