Losing You

There’s nothing that can mend this,

This wide rift between me and you.

You have your back turned to me, ignoring my screams;

Screams for you to come back,

Back to the past when we were happy,

Happy with what we had.

But that was then and this is now.

Now you look at me with hatred.

Hatred that causes my heart to break,

Break into a million pieces so all I feel is numbness.

Numbness is better than pain,

Pain over what I have lost

You.
