Lucy loved being alone.

                                                                                                                                        Lucy hated being alone.

It was the perfect time to just loose herself in the moment.

It was just a bleak reminder of what she lost.

It was so simple.

                                                                                                                                                        It was so hard.

All she had to do was put a single strip in her mouth.

All she did was put that one damn strip in her mouth.

Lucy held her hands out to the dancing colors before her.

Lucy retreated into herself, away from the taunting monsters.

They felt so smooth and cool and tasted like honey and sunshine, life.

They looked as rough and fiery and tasted like filth and darkness, death.

Orange, green, and pinks swirled around her,

White, black, and red suffocated her,

singing to her their melody that filled her nose with its sweetness.

scorching to her their discord that filled her nose with its sourness.

Lucy felt as if her body was floating above everyone in the sky, alive.

Lucy felt as if her body was sinking into a never-ending abyss, dead.

It was like living a magical dream.

It was like living a terrible nightmare.

Please, someone never let it end.

                                                                                                                        Please, someone, make it end.

Don’t …

                                                                                                                                                                         Do …

                                                                                Stop!
