Everyone, from the time they were born, has always had a song in their head. It has a unique melody and harmony that only you know. Others can hear it and recognize it but can't hum it themselves. The only one who can do that is you. That is, you and your soulmate. Soulmates have the same song. Sometimes it's exactly the same and other times it changes in places to compliment one another. But they always fit together. The song starts out as just notes in your head but as you get older you start to hear words too. On your sixteenth birthday you will be able to sing all the words in your song. This is usually around the time that people start searching for their match. Some sing it out loud for the world to hear in hope that they'll find the one they're meant to be with and other times they keep it to themselves hoping not to get disappointed. But everyone always has a song and everyone always has a match.

Nino stood facing the fence of the Agreste mansion with a determined look on his face. It was his best friend's sixteenth birthday and he was going to do something for him. He had tried to throw him a party last year but that hadn't gone so well and resulted in him getting akumatized as the Bubbler. Better not repeat that again. This time he decided to just bring him a present. Hopefully Adrien's father would be ok with that. Taking a deep breath Nino walked toward the gate and pressed the doorbell.

As expected from the many times he had tried to visit Adrien a camera came out of the wall and stared him in the face.

"Yes?" Said the speaker beside the camera. The voice sounded a little annoyed, probably because Nino had tried this before and never succeeded in convincing them to let him hang out with his friend.

"It's Nino again," Nino said looking into the camera with more confidence than he actually had. "I have a present for Adrien and I would like to give it to him." He said matter of a factly.

As expected the mailbox opened and Nathalie told him to put his present in there. But today Nino was not backing down.

"I want to give it to him in person," He told the camera. There was a pause like Nathalie didn't know what to do about that.

"I'm sorry Mr. Nino but I'm afraid you are not allowed inside the residence but if you put the present in the box I can make sure Adrien receives your present." Her voice was without emotion, robotic, like always.

Nino sighed and looked down at his present. He was not giving up yet.

"Please, Miss. It's Adrien's sixteenth birthday and I'd really like to see him. Can't you let me in for like, five minutes?" Nino asked barely allowing himself any hope. This probably wasn't going to end well, like last year. But Nino had to try.

To his surprise Nathalie actually gave into his request. This may not be such a disaster after all.

"Fine, you may visit with Adrien for fifteen minutes but then you will be expected to leave right away. Do you understand?" Nino was honestly not expecting to succeed but now that he had he was going to accept every moment he got. He violently nodded his head up and down. He was told to wait there for a moment so someone could come and open the gate for him and Nino fidgeted with excitement.

The man who opened the gate for him was as emotionless as everyone else who worked for the Agrestes. His face was expressionless as he escorted Nino inside the mansion to where Nathalie was standing, waiting for him.

"You are lucky Mr. Agreste is out overlooking a fashion show in Spain or else you wouldn't be able to be here at all," She told him. Who leaves on the weekend of their kid's birthday? Nino thought bitterly. Still, he was thankful that he was able to see Adrien. "Adrien should be in the music room, he's in there practicing the piano. You may go give him your present. Down the hallway two doors on the right." Nathalie instructed before turning and leaving, probably to finish up her secretary business. Nino turned to follow her directions and sure enough as he neared the music room he heard the sound of his friend's piano playing pouring out of the room. It was a song Nino didn't recognize the song. It was beautiful although It wasn't like normal pieces he heard Adrien play, it was different somehow.
