Addi sat on the edge of the pool sighing. It was so warm outside she never wanted to go into the cold water. She wiggled her feet in the water and smiled. Then she heard whispering from behind her.
"Should I tell her?" Jake was saying to someone.
"Yeah you should tell her! Go now! Hurry up!" She heard Noah say in a loud whisper. She could tell he was getting impatient.
Then Jake sighed, then Addi heard him perk up. "Oh Everest! What should I do?!" Jake whisper shouted. Then Addi heard footsteps walk forwards Jake, "Do what?" Everest asked curiously. Then Noah explained what Jake was doing, "Jake wants to ask Addi out but he is too fricken CHICKEN!" Noah growled. Then Addi heard Everest push Jake, "Go tell her she's right there!" Then Jake pulled back. "No way! I'm not just gonna ask her out NOW! Maybe we should wait till the end of last splash." Jake said. Noah did a face palm, "I asked a girl out in kindergarten and she said yes." He said. Jake and Everest stared at Noah in a "What the heck Noah" expression. Then she heard them dismiss themselves and separate.
Addi sat in silence, She was no longer comfortable. She felt very awkward and uncomfortable.
"Hello Addi!" Everest said, sitting next to her. "Whatcha doing?" She asked happily.
Addi shrugged. "Just dipping my feet in the water." Then all of a sudden the sun got super hot. Then Addi had the strange urge to jump into the cool water. Then Addi quickly stood up, walked backwards, then RAN forwards cannon balling straight into the water sending water everywhere.
There stood poor-soaking-Wet-unprepared-horrified-cold Everest, standing there staring at Addi, "Why didn't you tell me you were gonna jump into the water!" She laughed.
Addi laughed and they both swam in the water.
