Cheyenne sat on the beginning of the water slide ready to take off. She stared at the lifeguard waiting for the signal that would tell her she could go. The lifeguard gave Cheyenne and thumbs up and she was off. "Yahoo!" Cheyenne cheered while she swayed and turned, speeding down the slide. Sliding was the best best best way to get your adrenaline up. The best rush ever. Also it would keep her mind off leaving elementary school, and even worse, her friends. She sighed, swimming around the pool. No one liked to think of the mysteries of the future... When Cheyenne decided she'd better go enjoy herself instead of being a random depressed child. She spotted Addi and Everest, Addi was swimming like a shark and Everest flailed around in the water like a half-Goldfish-Half-Squid. Smiling, she approached them. "Hey guys." Cheyenne said in greeting. Everest shouted loudly, "HAY!" And Addi laughed. The three girls splashed and played in the cool water for a while. Soon thunderclouds filled the air. First lightning, before the thunder, before the rain, and before the end of last splash.
Why had it ended so soon? Why had something so very important end so soon?
