"Son Haeri. Are you mad? Huh? Are you jealous just because you aren't good enough for the job?"

Park Yoonji grabbed Haeri by the hair as she jerked her to the wall and whispered, "You'll never be one of us, so stop dreaming and get a job elsewhere,"

Forcefully, Yoonji pulled Haeri again till she fell on the ground. "Don't cry, the others might think I bullied you."

Haeri watched the mean girl step out of the washroom, with tears running down her face, ruining her makeup.

She was sad, mad, yet could do nothing about it. After all, she was just a girl with no background, no high education.

All those months she worked her butt off as an intern had gone to waste, just because Yoonji got her position with her connections and money.

Haeri silently washed away her makeup and walked out of the washroom.

Life was unfair, only the privileged ones would get what they wanted.

She didn't even bother to pick up her things, it wasn't like she needed them anyway.

She loitered around the dark streets, too tired to go home.

Stopping in front of a night bar, she hesitated whether she should head inside.

She usually avoided places like this, since she was anthropophobic, but today, she felt like letting go.

She walked inside, and thankfully there were only a few tables occupied.

There was a couple making out at one of the tables, and Haeri turned away in disgust.

Her eyes caught a man in his early 20s, sitting at the table next to her.

He was really good looking, and he gave off a mysterious vibe as he was dressed in full black.

I'll call you Mr Black, Haeri thought to herself while unconsciously smiling.

She watched as he picked up the soju bottle and drank straight from it, then slamming the bottle on the table.

She didn't realise she was staring at him for so long, until he turned her way and their eyes met.

Haeri turned around almost immediately and shoved a glass of soju down her throat.

From the corner of her eye she saw the man get up and leave the bar.

For some reason she got up as well, and paid for the drinks before walking out.

The breeze was chilly on a night like this, and instantly Haeri regretted leaving the bar.

She looked around in hopes that she would see the handsome man again, but he was already nowhere in sight.

Rain started to fall, and her feelings worsened. She decided that her life was worth nothing anymore, and just wanted to vanish from the world.

Tears began flowing again, uncontrollably.

A taxi pulled up and the front windows rolled down.

"Need a lift, miss?"

It was the black haired man from the bar.
