The Runaway

Chapter 12

Zoey was in her bed sleeping. She looked like a mess. Hair all over the place and everything. Then she had the urge that she need to pee. She got up outta her bed and ran to the restroom,which is across the hall. She was shocked by the bright lights. She was like a vampire. She hasn't been outta the dark since 7pm yesterday. Jeez I feel like crap. She thought to herself.  She flushed and then washed her hands. She sniffed the hallway when she left the bathroom. What is that beautiful smell? She smelt cheese. Some American cheese then eggs. She sneaked into the kitchen and seen Chris cooking. He was wearing some ear buds while he did so. She walked back into the room.

If you're wondering where Khalil is,well he likes to sleep in the other room. He doesn't like waking people up because he is very clumsy when he can't see in the dark. I mean who isnt. But he always seems to wake Zoey up because she's a light sleeper then Zoey likes to be on her phone and talk to people late at night. So it was a lost lost situation.

Khalil woke up out of his bed. He stretched his aching body from yesterday. He had played basketball with some guys and they got a little rough. He didn't mind though. He likes a challenge. He got up outta bed to put a shirt on. He walked into the hall where he met Chris walking out of the kitchen with a plate of food.

"Bro who made that and is there enough for all us to eat?" Khalil asked Chris.

Chris nodded at him,walking pass him before saying "I made it by the way, so enjoy before Zo eats it all" he said laughing lowly.

Khalil walked into the kitchen where Zoey was. She was making herself a plate of food. Khalil walked to the refrigerator to pour himself an cup of filtered water.

"Good Mornin Khalil." Zoey said to him with a smile. She bite into her bacon and sipped on his orange juice.

"Good Morning love." He said to her. He walked over to the stove to put some food on his plate. Then he sat in front of Zoey as she devoured her whole plate.

"Alright so I know that we haven't really talked but we have to talk about this." Khalil said to her.

"Yeah I know what you're talking about. He still need to handle our living situation and stuff." Zoey said back to him. He nodded at her while he ate his pancakes.

"Have you made any process with making some money?" Khalil asked her.

"I've made non but how is the band stuff going? Have y'all made any progress?" Zoey asked him.

"Whenever Rico and May aren't arguing at each other, we are having great progress." He told her. She threw up a thumbs up with a smile.

"That's great. I'm gotta try to make some money. Just gotta take a while." She told him.

After they got done eating and socializing, they walked out of the kitchen to get ready to their Saturday. Khalil had to practice with the Red Tamales, the band.While Chris and Zoey went to hang out with Gianni. Chris and Zoey have gotten closer since Zoey found out what Gianni was. So they hang out a lot.

Chris parked in Gianni's parking lot so as Zoey and him got there. Zoey jumped outta the car to go ring on his doorbell. She ringed it 3 times until Gianni opened the door. He looked hella annoyed until he found out who was at the door.

"Hey pretty girl." He said to her. He moved out of the way to let her in along with Chris afterwards. Zoey walked into the living room with Jacquees. He was playing video games and shouting at the screen. Guess he is playing online. Zoey sat on the couch and watched him play 2k18 she supposed while Khalil and Chris handled some business before hanging.

Jacquees looked bothered. It has been three days since he found out about Diamond 's baby might be his. He didn't know how to digest the information so he played video games all day. He hasn't gotten out the house in a while. But don't get it wrong, he did go see Janet once everyday and took care of his basic needs. He just hasn't went to the trap. He couldn't bare to see Diamond.
