Chapter 13

It's a brand new day. Everyone is getting ready for school. Zoey's wearing a cute overall dress with boots and high socks. Khalil's wearing a looney toons sweater and black jeans with red converse.

They were in the living room eating breakfast, since Chris is coming to school with us. I guess he was tired of his parents calling him about how he's wasting his time by not going.

Chris threw on a white tee with khaki pants. He walked out into the living room with the others. "Are y'all ready to go?" She asked them. They nodded then they were out the door.

They entered the school with people giving them a stare. Probably because the long lost Chris was with them. It's been a year since he's been in this building. He kinda missed it here.

After Chris went to his locker, he was caught off guard to someone jumping on his back. "What's up Chris."

"Yo Jamil. What's up!" He started to him.

Jamil got off of Chris's back and dapped him up.

"Bro it's been a while since you came here, I never think though you would come back."

"Well I'm here, in the flesh my nig." Chris said to him.

Jamil busted out laughing at him then they started walking to the cafeteria.

Khalil and Zoey walked to there favorite place after going to their lockers. They met up with May and Rico for a little meeting.

"Where have y'all been? I've been waiting for a long time." May complained.

"Girl we just got here." Zoey said to her.

May smacked her lips at her then turned to the door. She opened the door for Zoey and Khalil to come in. "Alright well come on. We only got 30 minutes." She said to them. They walked into the room with her. Rico was sitting on the couch playing Subway Surf.

"What's up Rico." Khalil said to him as he sat down on the couch.

"What's up y'all." He said back putting his phone in his pocket.

"Alright so what is this meeting about?" May asked with her arms crossed.

"This meeting is about the band Stupid." He said.

She flared her nose at him. He smiled at her little fit. "Anyways,.." he started to say to the group. Zoey felt an buzzing feeling against her skin. She walked to a different part of the room and answered her phone.

"Hello?" She said. She heard some weird breathing on the other side of the phone.

"Hello Zoey." A male like voice said.

She looked at the number then put the phone back to her ear. "Um may I ask who is this?" She asked the person.

"Oh you know who this is. You just haven't talked to me in a while." He said.

"Can you give me a guess?" She asked.

"Hmm no. But you'll figure it out when you notice a weird feeling when you're alone. When were you think you're alone, you're not. Whenever you think you're safe, you're not. I've been watching you since the incident." He said. Then the phone went dead.

Zoey's heart started to hurt. She was scared for her life. She ended the call and walked back over to the couch with the others. She had a scare look on her face, without anyone noticing it.

Zoey sat in her last class ready to burst out of the doors. But she knee she had to remain calm, at least until she's safe and sound with her friends today. She planned to hang out with Khalil and Gianni until Chris gets home from being out of town for something.

The bell rung. It was the last bell for the day. Zoey gathered all her things and walked out of the classroom. She went into her locker and threw on her sweater. She closed her locker and was jumped scared by Khalil being in front of her.

"Oh my goodness, you fucking idiot. Are you trying to kill me so early?" She asked him. He smiled and shook his head.

She felt someone put their arms around her shoulders. She smiled. "Hey Gianni" she said.

Khalil looked at her shocked. "How doesn't he scare ya but I do?" He semi yelled to her. She shrugged her shoulders.

"Maybe I just got the power to keep her from losing her shit." Gianni said with sarcasm.

"Or..I'm just- NO! HELL NO!" He said before turning to his phone.

"What?" Zoey asked him.

"Maybe I'm ugly!" He said with terror in his eyes.

Gianni and Zoey laughed at Khalil being overdramatic.

"I'm serious. May doesn't look at me the same. She use to look at me with those big giggly eyes of hers." He said.

Zoey giggle and patted him on the back. "Its not you who was getting thoses looks." She told him as she walked passed him with Gianni right behind her. He looked confused and shut his locker.

"Wait, what do you mean Zoe?!" He asked her as he followed.

"I've said too much." She said smiling.
