Chapter 22

"Okay, thankyou sir. We will begin our investigation first thing in the morning." The policeman said.
"Is that the best you can do?" Emilio asked, starting to cry.
"Come on Emi, let's get home and washed up. Landon will be fine, hopefully. Plus, we need to sort out that cut on your chest." Molly rubbed her hand along his back to calm him.
All Emilio could do was nod slightly.

At home
The couple were sitting on there sofa, and fixing up any wounds the crash had created. Emilio took his shirt off revealing a deep slash along his torso.
"Of my god, Emi." Molly gasped as she examined it. "Doesn't it hurt?"
"Yes, a lot actually, but I don't care."
She looked him sorrowfully in the eyes before holding his hand and whispering, "Babe, I know your worried about Landon. And so am I! But, you have to remember that he's a strong boy and he can get through anything. Alright?"
She dabbed his cut with a damp cloth until most of the blood was gone. She then wrapped lots of bandages around it tightly until he could get better help.
"There we go. All better." She smiled and kissed him on the nose.
"Thanks Mol-" Emilio was beginning to say but got interrupted by a thump in Landon's room. They looked at eachother before sprinting to see what it was. There was nobody there, but whoever it was left a note.
Emilio picked it up and read it.

Hello Emilio and Molly.
I have taken your son, Landon, which you probably have guessed by now. He is safe and unharmed and all you need to do is come and get him! IF, you do me a favour..
