I jerked awake when my sensitive hearing picked up on a sound from far away.
It almost sounded like running footsteps, almost around five to six people? Maybe.
The sound came nearer and I quickly stood up to hurriedly push down the to used blanket-into my green bag and toss it over my shoulder.
"Someone is here, I just know it! Come on!" I heard someone scream and my legs started to sprint forward.
I strained my hearing as I strategically strided forward while I fastened up my speed.
"Wait! Someone was here! I knew it!" The same man voice from earlier screamed and a smirk drawled onto my face and the wind in my black hair made me smirk even wider.
"I think it was a girl sir"
I stopped in my tracks.
Hold the fuck up!
How in the love of all holy did he or they know that?
"Yeah you're right Didrick" The man answered and my eyebrows furrowed together.
Who are they? Or worse what are they?
"Sir! The smell comes from this direction!"
I hastily cursed under my breath and started to sprint even faster than before and jumping professionally over rocks and logs that came into my way.
"This way! Come on!"
Their footsteps pounded against the ground and relief washed down over me when I spotted a lake, exactly over one hundred meters away from me.
Their yelling and pounding footsteps came nearer as I jumped down into the lake and all the sounds got muffled by the water that surrounded me and I hastily swam down to the bottom.
My hands were covered in green fins and my long legs couldn't even be seen anymore as they were covered in a long, pretty green fin.
I grabbed onto the pebbles that covered the lakes bottom and strained my hearing to figure out where they were.
"Sir the smell stops here"
I started to swam backwards and I quickly melted into my surroundings
With my green fins- it's hard to even see me in here thanks to the dark color of the water.
"She must've had jumped into the lake then" The man, I guessed it's the leader said and I narrowed my eyes when his blurry face made an appearance above the surface of the water.
"Sir?" Didrick asked the leader and he hummed lowly.
"We can just wait her right? She must come up to the surface some time, to breath obviously" He chuckled and I rolled my baby blue eyes.
Well sorry not sorry boys but I can breath under water so that's totally gonna be a winner, I smirked to myself as I heard them settle down.
Oh well this is gonna take awhile I sighed and closed my eyes for a briefly moment.
I just have to wait here then, they must walk away some time, right?
